Description

Centrally located, Frangipani Cottage offers a peaceful base for a truly relaxing romantic getaway.

Set in lush tropical gardens and surrounded by beautiful frangipani trees, it is a leisurely 10-15 minute stroll into bustling downtown Byron Bay, her beautiful beaches and all that the town has to offer. It is a quiet retreat, close to everything, but seemingly miles from anywhere!

The one bedroom, one bathroom cottage is perfect for couples wanting a romantic escape. It has a brand new granite kitchen, a private north facing timber deck overlooking the citrus orchard and the 12 metre salt water pool, serene tropical gardens, abundant wildlife and a screened courtyard entrance. It has been freshly painted with quality furnishings and linen. Bedding configuration is one queen size bed in the separate bedroom.

Enjoy a relaxed BBQ on the deck, cook up a feast in the gourmet kitchen with fresh produce from the Thursday morning Farmer's Market, or simply stroll into town and choose from the myriad of world class restaurants, bars and cafes our little seaside town has to offer.

Luxury linen, bath towels and bedding is supplied. We do not charge additional fees for linen or cleaning.

What to do in Byron Bay...

There is so much to do while you are holidaying here. For the active and adventurous, you can try sky diving, hang gliding or scuba diving. For the early risers treat yourself to a champagne breakfast in a hot air balloon cruising above some of the world's most spectacular scenery. Or for the reasonably fit - it's a 4+ hour return trek - consider doing a pre-dawn climb up Mt Warning and be the first to see the sun rise (see last photograph in sequence). Be warned - this walk is not for the faint hearted! The last 20 metres requires pulling yourself up a vertical rock face with a chain rope! The view awaiting you is worth it...it's breathtaking! For those who prefer less extreme activities, there's plenty of great shops, cafes and beaches to explore. You can take a day trip into the hinterland and explore our eclectic and quirky villages, waterfalls and mystical rainforests. Or...spend a day on our beautiful 18 hole golf course, followed by drinks and a sumptuous dinner on "The Deck" on the 19th hole...the list goes on!

The Byron markets are held on the first Sunday of the month, with additional markets during Easter and Christmas times. Bangalow markets are on the 4th Sunday of the month. Find everything from fresh garden produce to new age stalls, handmade local arts and crafts, natural skincare products and freshly squeezed sugar cane juice (if you haven't tried it - do! It's delicious!). Sunday afternoons at the Beach Hotel are legendary. Free music from 4pm to get you in the Byron groove.

No holiday to Byron Bay is complete without a trip up to our world famous lighthouse. Walk along Main Beach to the Pass, then up the track to and along Wategos Beach then follow the steps up to the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. It's well worth the effort. Or...you can take the easy option and drive to the top. There are always dolphins to be seen, as well as migratory humpback whales from May to October.

Welcome to the Rainbow Region. Come see for yourself...

  • "Lovely cottage and hosts. We stayed for my husband's birthday weekend and Kirsty helped me to organise a wonderful cake. Once we arrived, Kirsty and Paul were gracious and welcoming to us and friends who dropped by one afternoon, but never intrusive. The cottage was clean and modern and had everything one could need for a weekend (or longer) getaway. As others have mentioned, the fruit, cheese and wine, dvd and book collections were nice special touches. We'd love to return!"

  • "We absolutely loved the accomodation, in beautiful Byron Bay. Even during rainy mornings, it was great to just hang out and relex together, enjoying the dvd collection, and browsing through the books. Perfect romantic getaway!"

  • "Firstly thanks to Kirsty and Paul for being such wonderful hosts, we really enjoyed our stay at Frangipani Cottage. The passion and emotion that has clearing gone into restoring this hidden and relaxing gem was complimented by Kirsty and Paul's welcoming yet inobtrusive hospitality. We often gauge the accommodation by the extra little touches and the attention to detail here was second to none. If heading to Byron Bay we definitely recommend you visit the Frangipani Cottage, we'd never consider staying elsewhere having discovered this little gem! "

We were very spoilt to have a beautiful fruit and cheese platter, and my favourite new zealand wine on arrival. Kirsty and Paul are so cruizy and easy going that you feel very comfortable there. Loved your book selection, especially the twilight series :-) "

  • "Wonderfull property just a 2min drive from downtown byron bay. Close to everything you need. Owners are very helpfull and made us feel at home. Like a descreet concierge!! Paul and Kirsty were good fun to chat with and gave very good information for the area. Very clean and spacious cottage with access to a nice saltwater pool. Look at a lot of properties, but this one was the most quiet and closest to town. Very good value for money!!!! Tom and Cecilie :) "
