.....drink local champagne from Red Hill Estate and enjoy local cheese from the Main Ridge Cheese provedore all on your own private terrace whilst admiring the vista and the visiting kangaroos and wallabies.

Hail the Red Hill Shuttle and explore surrounding eateries and wineries, or visit our neighbours at Ellisfield Farm and Dunns Creek Winery just a short walk away through the Kangerong Flora Reserve. Perhaps explore the Red Hill Market and enjoy a local beer from the Red Hill Brewery. If chocolate is your fancy then visit Mornington Peninsula Chocolates at 45 Cook Street in Flinders.

Lavender cottage @ Tomara provides a homely lounge area, queen bedroom and en-suite walk-in shower room, with a separate private toilet, all annexed to the main residence. It has a large dining kitchen with cooking facilities. Pre-packed gourmet breakfast provisions are supplied, for your own preparation and consumption at a time convenient to you. If you don't fancy cooking, then try Merricks General Store or Somers General Store for a scrumptious breakfast; just 10 minutes away by car.

Wineries & Restaurants galore

Red Hill is a foodies paradise!

We have our own onsite micro vineyard producing cool climate pinot. We also recommend Dunns Creek Estate and Whinstone Estate, two smaller wineries neighbouring the property. Dunns Creek makes wonderful Spanish and Italian varietals and is just across the road from us.

Ellisfield Farm also across the road grows several varieties of cherries and is a pick your own farm.

In the area, all the local produce is to die for! There are two working cheese factories, strawberry farms and apple orchards and restaurants galore even a brewery!

Getting Back to Nature

Immediately next door to Lavender Cottage is Kangerong Flora Reserve, which provides a short 20 minute easy walking circuit.

For those more adventurous a walk along McIlroys Road to Bowrings Road takes you to Bald Hill Reserve.

Otherwise a brisk 45 minute morning walk up McIlroys Road and right at Red Hill Road will lead you directly to Red Hill Store for a well deserved latte!

If you are after something less vigorous we also have a 600m (return) wetlands walk on the property where you may see koala's and the occasional wallaby ...... Or else amble around the property and admire the birdlife and of course the resident alpacas - Smudge, Snowflake, Sassy and Sophia..... and new arrivals Willow and Maple.
