Description

The winter sun has come with our dry season which has finally arrived!

Nestled in the hills of Newrybar near Byron Bay is Chestnut Park, an organic citrus and macadamia farm and the perfect place to relax and wind down in privacy, yet only minutes from Bangalow and Byron with all they have to offer.

The nearest beach is just 10 minutes drive away. Gaia spa and Newrybar village with the award winning Harvest Cafe are just 3 minutes drive away.

Our Cedar Cabin provides a tranquil hideaway perfect for a couple or small family. In privacy and overlooking the creek you can really watch the wildlife at play. There is a wallaby living nearby hopping past in the mornings, platypus, eels, water dragons and fish in the creek and plenty of birdlife to hear and see. Dose off in the hammock to the trickling of the creek.

Rate includes a delicious breakfast pack of local goodies (local bread, fruit, homemade jam or marmalade, museli, real coffee, tea and more as well as yummy eggs from our chickens) and all linen and towels as well as weekly cleaning. For families, the cabin has a sofabed in the living room which has accommodated many children and the occasional extra adult.

Single night bookings are welcome but will incur a small surcharge.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful quiet getaway. Lecia was most friendly, warm and welcoming and had arranged for everything impeccably. We got to hear farm stories, eat amazing local produce, a free "first" fishing lesson from Andy, jokes from the kids and everything else in between. We only wished we could have stayed more and maybe give back something in return for the most amazing time that we spent there. We could go on but you get the idea! "

  • "We did have a lovely stay except that it was during the heavy January rains. The cabin was lovely to stay in and the breakfast hamper was beautiful. Listening to the rain on the cabin roof along with the creek right outside the door was very relaxing. Owners were lovely to deal with also."

  • "On New Years Day we drove up the coast to spend the night at Chestnut Park Farmstay in the Byron Bay Hinterland. It was so tranquil and relaxing it would of been so nice to spend another night there. Alas the end of our holiday had arrived and we had to fly back to Melbourne the very next day. You can see our photo's here at: http://pancakesonsundays.blogspot.com/2012/01/chestnut-park-farmstay.html "

  • "We stayed for a week in this beautiful cottage. The location on the farm is great, a relaxing, tranquil environment. Lots of life around: a wallaby on the farm, kookaburras (more heard than seen), and we spotted the resident platypus (!), eels, and turtles in the creek. For less tranquil things, Byron Bay is just a 15 minute drive. The breakfast hamper was delicious, and the organic vegetables Lecia provided lasted us almost the entire week. All in all highly recommended!"

  • "Beautiful location, immersed in nature with the daily delight of the bubbling and twinkling creek out your front door along with the amazing birdlife and platypus; just what I was looking for, tranquility and serenity. Best organic vegetables ever if you stay for week or more! I was there for nearly 3 and would have happily stayed longer..Owners are lovely people too. Highly recommend"

  • "This is a magical property in a peaceful location. The Cabin was incredibly well presented, clean and with modern appliances. The bathroom was new and the bed was absolutely comfortable! We loved hanging out with the geese and wandering the property looking at the vege crops. It was delightful waking up to the creek and eating a fresh breakfast on the veranda. We enjoyed every second and would definitely return. The owners are lovely and very organised. "

  • "My partner and I enjoyed our time thoroughly at Chestnut Park in the cabin. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a secluded getaway that is still close to Byron Bay and Bangalow. We would often wake in the morning and spot new wildlife everyday from wallabies in the fields to turtles in the creek. The hosts made as feel like we were one of the family. It was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to return."

  • "We would totally recommend a stay at Chestnut Park Farm. The breakfast hamper was fantastic and the cabin was hotel quality. It was perfect for a totally relaxing break and we even got to see the platypus, which made the stay complete! We can't wait to go back again."

  • "I really enjoyed staying in the cabin. It is new, comfy and tastefully appointed with a beautiful outlook over the creek. The organic farming is taking off with acres now under cultivation and is only a short walk from the cabin. Friendly owners and family will make you feel at home. I look forward to coming back. John, Sydney."
