This vibrant city on the South China Sea is packed with Vietnamese attractions, mouth-watering delicacies and excellent diving and snorkelling. The majority of Nha Trang vacation rentals are in urban areas, giving you uber-easy access to all of these awesome vacation activities. Things to do

Mud baths, hot springs and a night market with cool things

Vinpearl is a must-do here. From the mainland, you can cable-car across the bay to Vinpearl Land, a resort island with a sweet underwater aquarium, a water park, an amusement park, restaurants and live shows. Climb the steps to the massive white Buddha statue known as Long Son Pagoda, and after that, hit the Thap Ba Spa for a soak in the hot springs or a nice cool mud bath. Get your photo opps at the Gothic Nha Trang Cathedral, and then head over to Nha Trang Night Market for a lively street scene with food, shops and music.

Who knew a bird's nest could be so tasty... and expensive?

If you feel like eating something pricey, don't leave without sampling the great delicacy Yen Sao, which is edible bird's nest held together by hardened saliva. It's more appetizing than it sounds. Many cafes have live music, and you can party past midnight in the Biet Thu tourist district. Nha Trang Bay is also a top notch place for water sports like kitesurfing and sailing, and especially scuba diving. The Tran Phu waterfront promenade spans 6 km along lovely strips of white sand, and the islands across from the Bay have heavenly beaches.

Mostly dry as a bone with bursts of intense rain

With dry skies and hot sunny weather for days, Nha Trang is a perfect climate for beach lovers. The chances of rain shoot up between September and December. You can expect short intense bursts and, occasionally, a typhoon. Temps are hot year-round, in the upper 20s on average, and it's mostly dry from February to August. Those months, of course, are the hot-ticket times for Nha Trang vacation rentals. The coolest temps, from December to March, are usually in the lower 20s, so, you know, still pretty warm.

Natural highlights

City slickers will really dig this cosmopolitan coast

Still, Nha Trang's southeastern coast is on the South China Sea, with a smattering of islands that protect it from storms, so bonus points there. Inland, there are mountain ranges on all 3 sides of the city, so you get awesome views of soaring peaks and beautiful blue sea.
