Lovely little unit. Well located. "Entire guest house" is a bit of a stretch. "Compact studio above garage" would be more accurate. Ideal for us as we only really needed a place to sleep. Hosts really make an effort with a basket of sweet treats and a nice few items in the wine fridge. Bathroom also well stocked with toiletries.
It's located in a quiet neighbourhood but you will hear planes, trains and automobiles in the distance. It wasn't enough to disturb us.
It's a ten dollar Uber to downtown SD and the popular Gaslamp quarter. And the zoo is a similar distance away. Nearest "urban center" is Hillcrest which is a ten minute drive or 30 mins walk.
No laundry facilities so, based on the host's advice, we used the wash n go on Hillcrest which was excellent. We got about 3 loads of laundry done in 90 minutes.
