We spent eight unforgettable nights here—a peaceful retreat from the bustle of life in Penrith, Sydney. It was just the four of us: my wife Marianni, our dog Keio, and my cousin Martine. From the moment we arrived, the house greeted us with warmth—both from the fireplace already lit, and the tidy, well-cared-for spaces that immediately felt like home.Each morning began with a quiet walk at sunrise, just us and the wide open sky, with Keio joyfully leading the way. In the evenings, we lit the fire pit and gathered around to roast marshmallows and enjoy simple barbecued meals, camping style. A glass of wine by the indoor fire, watching a film as the wind whispered outside, made winter here something magical.The sunrises and sunsets are truly breathtaking—nature’s theatre right at your doorstep. This place is more than just a house; it’s a little pocket of stillness and beauty, and we are deeply grateful for the time we spent here.We’ll definitely return.

The cottage is beautiful. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We can’t speak highly enough of the facilities & location.

Arriving late in the winter, our wonderful hosts had made sure the cottage was ready for our arrival. The little things like heating turned on to take off the chill and having the electric blankets ready for us was a pleasant surprise...immediate smiles on our dials 😁. Weve had the pleasure of staying here before and just like the first time there was no disappointment at all. Everything was stocked and ready to go throughout and we were super impressed with the kitchen in its entirety....crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and even the herbs and spices (we love cooking with flavour so the amount of herbs and spices was more than we could ask for). We love staying here as its historic and so close to our family. Thank you so much, we will certainly be regulars!!!

Great stay for weekend . I would have liked more secured yard for small dog that can get through sheep fencing. Loved the stay.

The property owner was easy to deal with. Kept us informed of the process. The house is amazing. It met all our needs. Will stay there again.

Loved it; beautiful house in nice location but still only 20 minutes from Cowra. Attractions include Lachlan River, Wyangala Dam and Milky Way overhead. Only suggestion would be a wall heater in the bathroom.

Had 2 nights there. Everything was spotless. Amanda’s communication great Good location as you can walk into town Coffee shop next door was fantastic. Bedding very comfortable
