Holiday rentals near Shinewater Park

Lovely property. Hosts pleasant and whilst they live in the house onsite they were not intrusive. Had some lovely pub meals in the area. I am sure it would be an even more beautiful location in summer. We were very cosy here in the winter evenings. My only negative comment is I found the beds uncomfortable - too firm for me.

The Old Post Office in a lovely Sussex Village was very comfortable. The age of the building was it's charm and although totally different from our Australian home this was the attraction for us. The location was chosen to be close to our UK family. In fact the pub 2 mins away was the venue for a large family gathering during our stay. We had a couple of small laundry equipment issues that Sue dealt with very quickly. We had one large thunderstorm with very heavy rain during which the conservatory roof leaked in several places. This did not detract from our stay and was acceptable due the age and quaint nature of The Old Post Office. We enjoyed our stay.

What a joy it was to stay here. The host was super helpful and the property was even better than advertised. Amazing instructions and just everything you need for a short stay. It’s the little things that count and this had it all. Perfect for a small family and in some stunning countryside. We had a snow fall which made it look even more fairytale. We would stay again in a heartbeat

We had a fantastic weekend here and loved the house and it's location. We were a family group with a mixture of adults and children. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms along with lots of lounge/dining and outside seating meant that we never felt crowded or on top of each other but the house still felt warm and cosy. We were lucky enough to have an absolutely beautiful weekend weather wise so made full use of all the outside seating and views as well as the short walk to the harbour. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there were lovely touches with plenty of teas, coffees and extras to get us started. The whole house was spotless, check in and out was easy and contactless. Would highly recommend to any large group of family/friends wishing to have a lovely break together. Wheat Cottage is a lovely home from home, with plenty of space to spread out. Set in the countryside, so be prepared for narrow, winding lanes. A good Tesco supermarket in Uckfield for supplies.
