Holiday rentals near Stourhead Garden

Jill was a fantastic host who allowed us to check in early rather than take our car full of luggage into Bath for the day. The accomodation was delightful, everything we needed, my only regret, not staying longer!

The second time we have stayed at the cottage and would again when visiting Street.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Chapel. Good central location for day trips to Bath, Bristol and Cardiff, Wales. Well equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, comfortable beds and quality linen. The village is gorgeous too!

Our hosts, Tanya and Chris, made us feel very welcome over the whole stay. The rooms in the barn are very generous in size and the facilities are outstanding. If you are looking for a quiet rural retreat in beautiful Somerset, this is the place for you.

We found the property to be quite charming with its aged historic features and gorgeous scenic setting. We were comfortable and found the home well equipped and furnished for our needs. I think it is important for visitors to know the property is at the entrance to the National Trust gardens at Stourhead and hence receives a large number of visitors walking past the front door all day, everyday. Busy by day and peaceful by night. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Terrific location and easy access from transport. Couldn't find the lift until upstairs but it was not too daunting with bags. Views of the Avon River and bridge etcetera, outstanding. Well equipped kitchen and very appreciative of the milk and other provisions. Many thanks, highly recommend.

Gorgeous home sensitively renovated. We were initially upset that the main bathroom was shared between all 4 bedrooms. The second bathroom is on the living room floors. BUT the home is SO beautiful, the setting is fairy-book and Bath is gorgeous. Hope & Anchor saved us many times with beautiful meals in a wonky dining room. We would love to come back. Nigel & sarah are great hosts - constantly adjusting water/warmth for our jetlagged party AND even finding our phone. Highlights: 4 glorious bedrooms, a roaring life-affirming fire, a kitchen fuelled by an aga. 🥰
