Holiday rentals near Vale Creek Winery

Needed a short break and Nilgiri Cottage was just the ticket.Adequate sleeping areas for winter (heated with electric blankets) or summer as verandahs are enclosed bedrooms when weather is hot. Kitchen was functional and well equipped.Place was cosy and fitted like a glove to our routine. We visited in winter so room and lounge heating covered those bases. Next time we'll bring some fire wood for heating.For astronomy, the skies were clear and views were 360 degrees. Also very quiet.We used Nilgiri as a home base for exploring and day trips.We'll be back.

Could not have asked for anything more! This accommodation had everything you could possibly need and extra. My husband and I compared it to a 5-star hotel and this "home away from home" got our vote. The hosts were incredible and very welcoming; they even invited us for dinner with no pressure to attend. We were able to use their heated pool if we wished and they provided breakfast included in the price. They had stocked the fridge with wine, beer and other goodies that we could purchase if desired. There was also bags of chips etc available for purchase too. Unlike 5-star hotels the prices were very reasonable. Allan and Lorraine (hosts) checked in on a daily basis to see if there was anything else we needed. They gave us advice on places to visit around Bathurst when we asked. The bed was huge and super comfortable, and the pillows were great. There were also extra pillows in the robe if you needed them but the ones on the bed were enough for us. There was a BBQ on the deck and the view was amazing. The accommodation was peaceful and very quiet. We will definitely be back when we return to Bathurst. This is the kind of place that makes you want to move to the country. Stunning spot on top of a hill with an amazing view. Very private. Pristine large house with all the uncompromised comforts of the city

Well appointed and beautifully furnished Brilliant house, central location, excellent internet, great Foxtel. Loved the facilities, and a lot of trouble to provide extras, like paper towel, glad wrap and tin foil, was much appreciated.
