Holiday rentals near Wild on Waiheke

The place is very comfortable and has everything we needed. The host were very generous with any request. When back in the area this is high on the list!

I travelled to New Zealand with two of my nieces (aged 27 and 18 respectively) and we had the most magical stay on Waiheke Island at Onetangi Waiheke Beach House. The house is absolutely beautiful - comfortable and cosy, with beautiful light and stunning views. We felt so at home there that we really didn't want to leave! Our host, Jane, was wonderful. She patiently answered questions and made us feel very welcome. We would happilly recommend the Onetangi Waiheke Beach House to anyone!

Fabulous stay! The property is in a beautiful setting amid lots of green trees and bushes with lots of lovely birds flitting about. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen facilities adequate, cosy TV room and a beautiful outdoor space with magnificent views. There are quite a few stairs to the apartment. Lovely touch was the inclusion of muesli, yoghurt, milk and tea and coffee. Rozelle was a lovely host who gave us some great recommendations for our stay.

Easy access to Oneroa, buses and the beach. Supreme location and overall a delightful place to stay.

Lucy is one of the kindest hosts we’ve ever met - and we have stayed in hundreds of places around the world! She went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one - fantastic communication and generous beyond compare. Lucy’s home is a peaceful light-filled haven away from the hustle and bustle of Oneroa but close enough you can walk there in 15-20 mins along the esplanade/beach and over a gentle, undemanding hill. We loved exploring the area on foot and also walked to Mudbrick winery and Little Oneroa Beach. If walking isn’t for you, you can jump on one of the frequent local buses to get anywhere on the island - Palm Beach was a favourite of ours for swimming as unfortunately the Surfdale beach (easy 2 mins walk from Lucy’s) had a black algae outbreak so we couldn’t swim there (not a common occurrence we understand)! Lucy’s place is right across the road from a wonderful French cafe where we started our day with a coffee and delicious crepe or pastry. There are also two small supermarkets for picking up any groceries and a pub and restaurant (neither of which we went to so can’t comment on them). So many fabulous places to eat on the island it’s impossible to list them here!
