Holiday rentals near Museum of Minerals and Fossils

A spectacular view from a chic little apartment. Perfect for a couple or small family. The steps to and from the apartment are somewhat steep and busy with tourists, but the destination is worth the journey. Sadib the porter was a godsend for our bags and Nicholas was the consummate host.

The property was very comfortable for a family with a nice outdoor area to eat and hang out. Comfy beds and big shower. Very close to the beach and restaurants and an easy walk or drive to supermarkets. We like that the area was quiet compared to Fira and Oia, thw ocean was beautiful to swim in and we hired a car to see the rest of the island. Unfortunately we were all sick upon arrival so we didnt have the chance to explore as much as we'd have liked. Kostas was a friendly host and his parents helped us feel welcome and solve a few small issues.

Excellent communication with the property manager prior to arrival and throughout the stay. They were available and quick to respond, and offered good suggestions for things to do, including making bookings for us. Transport from the airport was arranged and worked great with rental cars delivered the next morning. One thing to be aware of is that there is a steep ascent with steps from the car parking to the property and Pyrgos in general. It is not wheel chair accessible, and you need to be ready for a short but significant climb to the property carrying all your belongings with you. This was not a problem for us, but it could be good if this was mentioned in the property description. The fridge was well stocked on arrival to take us through until we could go to a supermarket. There are several good restaurants in Pyrgos within walking distance. Particularly Xeporto at the Ikio Concept can be recommended. We will highly recommend this property and Pyrgos for a family or small group of friends that are looking for a quiet place for a vacation. Many thanks to Caroline and Ester. Have just spent 5 wonderful nights at The Sunhaus in Perissa Beach. Location in the heart of Perissa is second to none.You can literally walk out your front door and in 10mtrs be on the beach.Don't be concerned about traffic noise,as the Beach Front road is closed to traffic after 2.00pm all days,traffic is rather quiet and slow prior to that,and a Perissa Beach holiday is for those people who just want to relax,unwind and soak up the beautiful Greek sun and sand at a slow and relaxed pace.Many fantastic restaurants and quiet bars for a relaxing drink close by,and easy access to local buses and taxis to travel to Fira,Oia and The Port. But most of all,our thanks go out to Akis and Irini for always being on hand to answer our questions when we booked our stay and when we were in Perissa.Their local knowledge and advice is invaluable.The Sunhaus easily accommodated our 3 adults and would be comfortable for up to 4 people no problem. As previous reviews have advised and I can confirm,The Sunhaus is "the" place to stay for your holiday in Perissa Beach,Santorini.
