Capucins - Victoire holiday rentals

This second floor apartment was the best of our month in France and must be one of the best privately owned holiday apartments in Bordeaux and perhaps of France. We loved the thought put into both its furnishings and appliances. It feels like a home away from home. In addition the owners are very helpful in ensuring that one is aware of the key locations for a visit to Bordeaux. The apartment’s locality is less than 100m to some of the best restaurants in Bordeaux, and only a little further to a local supermarket and best of all - the Marche des Capucins where all manner of breads, seafood, meats, fruit and vegetables can be found as well as other delicacies. The hosts Nathaniel and Patrice provided maps and cards for a huge range of Bordeaux highlights and a list of their favourite restaurants and markets. Nathaniel also highlighted the best places for us on a reference map when we advised of our main interests. Check with Nathaniel if car touring outside Bordeaux is sought. He chauffered us in a Mercedes to the best vineyards tour we have had in France, together with a tour to Saint Emillion nearby. The tour of the Chateau Reynier vineyard with vigneron Mark Lurton was for us the most exceptional of our many vineyard experiences in France - and Mark’s wines are exceptional as well. We loved Bordeaux as it has so much to offer in this bustling Garonne River city.
