We are so glad to have found this place to stay. Mary is an excellent host. She really made our stay a pleasure, and even helped us with finding a car rental, when it seemed all cars were booked up.
Matavera is an ideal location on Rarotonga. It is peaceful but close to the busier spots like Muri and Avaroa. We enjoyed strolling around in the evenings, meeting the beautiful local dogs, and enjoying this piece of paradise.

Pleasantly surprised by the size and openness of the property. The thoughtfulness of providing staples (coffee, milk, bread etc) was appreciated given we arrived at the property at 3:00am and knew we would not have to immediately head out in the morning to get supplies. The communication with the villa owners was quick, informative and very pleasant. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful home in a beautiful location to enable, resilience, restoration and rejuvenation.

Joe's farm stay is a great alternative and great value for money for those not wanting a 'resort' experience. Only a 5 minute walk up to the main road, the cottages are well-appointed with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The surroundings are beautiful and Joe and Odette are incredibly hospitable and a fountain of information on local sights, activities, and culture. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Joe's and highly recommend it.

From the moment we arrived - it was an island paradise.The photos of the property - if anything - did not do it justice. We loved it and would certainly come back again.Very comfortable and spacious for a family of six adults.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Quiet and private it is still only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute stroll down the inner road to Muri Beach.
This is an exceptionally well equipped house that comes with brand new appliances and furniture, so does not have the headaches of some. It has large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, everything you need and more in the highly functional kitchen, a clean fresh bathroom with washing machine and both solar and electric hot water.
We stayed here for a month and found the place wanting in nothing.
The photos do not do this gem justice.
We will be booking Tania’s cottages next time we are in Raro.
