Gianicolense holiday rentals

Alessandra was a delight. Met me at the property and gave me neighbourhood rundown. Nothing difficult or unpleasant about this place. Close to great local restaurants and supermarket and just up the street is a local market with everything you’d ever need, including fresh fish, meat, fruit and delis with meats and cheeses. Amazing food. Short bus trip to all the venues in Rome with bus stops all very close by. Not many tourists in the area so get a great experience with local people. Air conditioning was a godsend as I spent a week in Rome that was in the high 30s. Works quietly and beautifully. The back terrace is all yours and perfect for an early morning coffee. Perfect place for solo travelled like myself. Great for a couple.

Maurizio's top floor apartment/bedsit is on the small side but was more than adequate for two and with a spacious terrace provides extra living space in warmer weather. Maurizio provided everything you would expect and more including coffee, croissants, shampoo, good wifi, and there was even a beer in the fridge. Added to this was a one hour tour of the local area on arrival with a free history lesson thrown in. The apartment is well located about 30mins walk from the Vatican and a 20min bus ride from the Colosseum and about 30mins ride to Roma Termini. All in all a good value apartment for a reasonable price with all you need and a very hospitable host.. Highly recommended
