Gianicolense holiday rentals

Location - great: short walk to tram stop, (no physical ticket needed just tap your money card from home on tram ticket machine), 25mins tram ride straight into heart of Rome (plaza venecia). Walk around to see all the sites. The accommodation is in a nice safe area, feels safe at night. Has local cafe for coffee, bakery items and cakes, restaurants for delicious pastas, convenience shops all near by within 100m. Accommodation has everything you need for living/staying longer periods of time: laundry, wifi, air-conditioning. 1 double bed (room 1) and 2x single beds (room 2) there is a couch in living room but its really only 2 bedrooms. Has 2 W/C bathrooms & showers and was very clean and tidy. The internet access is good and there is a desk/study nook to set up and work from home. Lovely communication with Luigi who greeted us on arrival. Make sure you remembered to bring extra euro € for the nightly Rome tourist tax which is not included in your accommodation reservation payment.

A wonderful host and a beautiful apartment, what a great start to a Roman holiday. Our host Maurizio, took us on personal tour of the neighbourhood including historical sites and eating places on checkin, he also gave detailed instructions regarding workings of the apartment. Bus 75 is at the gate which takes to the Termini railway station or you can connect with other buses around Rome. The apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood, with supermarkets, restaurants, takeaway etc close by. The apartment was as per listing and well equipped.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your apartment Giuliana. Having already been to Rome & visited the usual tourist sites it was a pleasure to experience suburban Rome. We enjoyed the local market and it was actually an easy walk during the inevitable transport strike. I was educated on the best bread to use for my bruschetta by the local bakery. The produce from the market was excellent & you’re correct … Tony does a great gelato. You’re transport directions were easy to follow & we used the bus, trams & trains without issue. I would definitely recommend this apartment to people looking for a quieter stay in Rome but with easy access to everything.

Maurizio's top floor apartment/bedsit is on the small side but was more than adequate for two and with a spacious terrace provides extra living space in warmer weather. Maurizio provided everything you would expect and more including coffee, croissants, shampoo, good wifi, and there was even a beer in the fridge. Added to this was a one hour tour of the local area on arrival with a free history lesson thrown in. The apartment is well located about 30mins walk from the Vatican and a 20min bus ride from the Colosseum and about 30mins ride to Roma Termini. All in all a good value apartment for a reasonable price with all you need and a very hospitable host.. Highly recommended
