Holiday rentals near Val di Merse

The property was a little hard to find (they do need to update Google maps) but the written instructions eventually got us there. It was worth it. The place was well equipped, comfortable and quite beautiful. The apartment is close to the house but still private. It is about 15 minutes to Siena, but you will definitely need a car. Buses aren't close by. Shops and restaurants are a short drive. Definitely a great place to stay if you have a car. Would love to come back.

We had an idyllic week in this beautiful house, tastefully decorated and well equipped with everything we could need. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful rural location that was only minutes from Siena. After a busy day of sight seeing it was a delight to come back to a spacious, inviting house for relaxation. Our host David took a lot of time and trouble to make sure we were comfortable and to help us with hints and tips for visiting local sites and finding restaurants. He was very welcoming and we will return.

We enjoyed our stay in San Rocco A Pilli in Sovicille - The sunflower apartment. It was spacious and comfortable, with views over the hillside. Letizia made us very welcome and showed us over the accommodation. Luca organised a wine tour for us which we enjoyed immensely. The property was not far from Siena (about 20 minute drive).
