Holiday rentals near Mount Van Hoevenberg Cross Country Ski Area

We have travelled extensively and we both agree that On Franklin Pond was up there with the best. The accomodation is spotlessly clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and decorated tastefully in the Adirondack style. There are kayak's and life jackets to use on the lake which is directly in front of the house. The views of the lake were spectacular, the colours changed as the light changed, truly beautiful particularly during our visit when the leaves were starting to change colour. The hosts Dick and Mary were delightful, friendly and welcoming, we felt that they were friends by the time we left. Mary had home made muffins, the best chocolate chip cookies and a lovely welcome basket for us on our arrival. Milk, juice and the basics were all there. Dick is the tour guide at White Pine Camp, we recommend the 2 hour tour with him if they are running. Our stay of 6 nights was not enough! We would love to go back again one day.
