Holiday rentals near Quinta da Aveleda

A beautiful renovation of an old existing hillside farmhouse into a combination of very modern and original features. Excellent accommodation with five en-suite bathrooms, a stunning lounge area and a chef's kitchen. Glass walls to the SE side of the accommodation to provide stunning views over the garden, hillsides and down to the Douro. Early morning fog bands make it very atmospheric. Highly recommended, but it is down the end of a long narrow lane. So travelling in a full-size car is a challenge for the unfamiliar! Excellent bakery in the village as well as a homely restaurant.

We enjoyed the apartment with the magnificent views of the River. It was close to walk to the Baixa area of Porto and many historic sites. It was well fitted out but the bathroom was small and needed a refurbishment. There was mould on the ceiling and the shower curtain. It was a shame because everything else was great. The host looked after us very well and even called us a taxi on our day of departure when we enquired about the best taxi arrangements.

From the moment we booked this property owned by Isabel we could not fault her communication , her willingness to assist and on arrival the apartment was immaculate and beautifully styled , it’s central location made it very easy to see all the attractions in Porto , Isabel’s restaurant recomendations were fabulous , Al in all a 10:10 experience

We loved our stay here. Elisa was available when ever we needed to know any thing or required anything. The apartment was as described and more. The location was perfect for exploring Porto and yet almost considered urban. Central and yet quiet. Excellent eating in close proximity. And as a lot of the reviews commented on the bakery/breakfast was an added delight. Staff were an absolutely delight in their treatment of us. Thank you all so much for making our time in Porto special.
