Holiday rentals near Owharoa Falls

Waitawheta Cottage was a perfect location for our needs. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and take in the beautiful countryside around this area then I would highly recommend it.

This property was amazing! Totally off grid but such a unique experience. The walking tracks all throughout the property were great and well kept. The hosts, Vivienne and Tim, were super helpful and just awesome people all round. Plus a friendly dog was a bonus!

This place is immaculate. It is easy to feel ‘at home’ straight away. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were very helpful. Close to town and also to the lake. Waihi beach less than 10 minutes away and others not much further. The Hauraki Rail Trail so close. It was quiet and all in all, a great place to stay.

The house and its facilities are spectacularly good. The garden is a delight (including a small and abundant herb garden to forage when using the well-appointed kitchen). My family loved the hot tub! The convenience for accessing the Gorge and its walking trails could not be better.

The cabin was peaceful, very clean, modern and nicely decorated. The surrounding garden was lush and gave privacy. Plenty of tea and coffee pods for the machine. The deck is large and an excellent place to enjoy a cool drink in the afternoon. Walking distance to the beach or a 2 min drive. Wish we could have stayed longer.
