Melrose holiday rentals

Great, clean place and perfect location.

Room was clean, hotel was generally ok. Two massove issues for us. The photos and description showed a washing machine which wasnt there, if we knew there was no laundry facilities we would have booked elsewhere. Worst of all, the room and hallways smelled strongly of cigarette and cannabis, so much we couldnt sleep for both nights. There were discarded cigarette butts on other balconies. The management wouldnt change room for us.

Residency Jellicoe is about a 7-8 minute walk from Rosebank mall and it’s restaurants - there are no closer restaurants - so it’s just a little out of the way - hotel itself was ok and room was spotless. What I particularly liked is that the hotel was well away from the main road so there was absolutely zero traffic or any other noise - slept soundly. Also very competitively priced so 7-8 minwalk to restaurants was not a burden

The Vantage has spacious, modern, clean apts, conveniently located near a shopping mall, supermarket, restaurants and the African Craft Market. We had 3 apts for 6 ppl and our 5-nite stay. The area is safe, we walked to some excellent restaurants nearby. The reception and housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful. Beds and pillows in the apts are comfortable and it's great to be able to relax with all the comforts of home. I would definitely stay at The Vantage again and recommend it highly.
