Gold Coast Hinterland cottage rentals

We loved our stay in this property surrounded by beautiful fields and excellent campfire setup. The place is clean and the host is very generous with lots of extra items and food to use if necessary.

Second time back for a chill 20th with my friends and partner. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend! The animals and river are amazing bonuses with the cabin- we've all decided we'll be back again and hopefully in time to see the new baby donkey!

Relaxing getaway, generous continental breakfast, cozy ,clean , comfortable cottage. Beautiful lotus pond and green garden. Fantastic ever changing view of Mt Barney.

The property was exactly what we needed as a base for our Kokoda support team. It was clean, tidy and a great location. The owners were very approachable and accomodating to our situation and needs. Highly recommend this property to anyone.

Graeme, the host, was a friendly, responsive, helpful and very personable. The vista view of the Gold Coast coastline was magical. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Location was stunning. We loved having access to a private section of Albert creek and being able to go walking on the hills towards the back of the property. Even though it was quite wet and cold the weekend we visited we still had a great time. There were even gumboots available which we made great use of. I later read the guest book and found out some previous guests had left those boots there for others to use which was super nice of them and greatly improved our ability to traverse the area in such wet/muddy conditions (plus being able to cross the creek without getting wet shoes was great). The cottage itself was a nice old Queenslander. Not old in a bad way mind you, it's well maintained and decorated in a way that felt historically acurate for the time. Between the vibe of the place, and the lack of reception/internet, it felt like travelling back in time 30 years to a more simple time. At night we loved the spa bath, even though we couldn't work out how to get the jets to work. My wife actually didn't think she liked baths but after using this large comfortable one she's now a fan of a nice hot bath haha. Overall very nice place for a couples weekend away. We'd certainly come back.
