Perfect for a group of 12, plenty of space, lovely grounds and incredible old home. Kitchen well stocked, had the most beautiful weekend with friends, food and fire.
Stunning place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful countryside round you , we explored all the great walks then came back and relaxed looking over the 360 views of the. Lie mountains with a glass of wine and bbq on . Life can’t get much better 💯 thank you Russell and Kelly 👌
We had a wonderful weekend going to all of the open gardens at Little Hartley. The house was well positioned to all of the gardens, it is always a relaxing stay especially with the kangaroos in coming at dusk into the backyard.
This was our return stay as we thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at the beginning of the year.
We arrived after dark on friday night to find the cottage warm and cozy. From the moment we pulled into the driveway to see the little cottage all lit up waiting for our arrival, we felt welcome.
The next morning opening the curtains we were met with a beautiful sight. The grounds of the cottage are absolutely gorgeous. We spent many hours next to the babbling brook reading in the warm winter sun. Late afternoon we headed inside to sit by the fire and relax. The cottage was well kitted out with everything we needed. No detail was spared. The beds were comfy and cozy with electric blanks to keep us snug. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything imaginable and then some. The owner was so lovely, leaving fresh bread, eggs and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. We were sad to leave and come home, honestly this cottage is the most charming place we have stayed. We loved it so much we are just about to book our next stay. 10/10 highly recommended.
This is the first time I’ve ever stayed in a ‘tiny house, it was lovely. Place is obviously small (some might say ‘tiny’) but it’s surprisingly well organised and there’s more than enough room for 1, probably even 2. The place had everything you could reasonable want too, good gas oven and stove, Big fridge freezer, warm and comfortable bed and a hot shower.
It rained the whole time I was staying so wasn’t really able to enjoy the out door fire, as I think that would have been amazing to sit out under stars with a fire going to keep warm. As it was it’s a lovely view and if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and still to go and escape the world this is pretty much perfect.
One bit of advice I would suggest is to bring a pair of slippers to wear indoors as the floor can be very cold in winter, and it’s not nice to wear shoes inside.
