Siena villa rentals

We loved our time here. Views were amazing, house comfortable and close to beautiful towns. You need a car to experience the most amazing food and scenery A very memorable holiday indeed

This is one of those conflicted reviews. I’d like to keep Le Bagnaie secret so we can book in future but I can’t resist posting about the experience. I can’t fault anything about the stay. The check in instructions were easy, property is well appointed and spotless, spectacular views, great pool and beautiful district. We drove around the surrounding towns and wineries. The meal from Serena was a real highlight. We didn’t want to leave

We had the most beautiful stay, check in was very easy and communication was wonderful. We also booked Elisa who is a private chef that Simone recommended and she was so wonderful, food and hospitality was amazing and highly recommended. Villa is an easy drive to Siena and also a local supermarket. Highly recommended, the views and villa are just spectacular.

The Villa is fantastic! I rented it for five weeks. Close friends came and went. There was plenty of space and living areas and we all had a fabulous time cooking, drinking, laughing and dancing together. Whilst a car is required, the Villa is centrally located in the region and we did many fantastic day trips to surrounding towns. A taxi to Siena was about 15 euros...shared between two or three, we found this reasonable. A few (including taxi drivers) struggled to find the Villa. Don't trust GPS...it sends you the wrong way. Andrea, the Villa manager, was a delight and we all loved him. He came every day, cleaned the huge, magnificent pool and happily chatted to us and assisted with any problems and arrangements. He picked fresh zucchini growing in the garden and left them for us on the kitchen bench. For some, the Villa may be a little tired, definitely rustic, the garden a little out of control but for us the charm of the place, the beauty of the chapel and the surrounding country was exceptional. I had dreamed of a holiday in Tuscany for a decent period of time and Villa Del Cielo fulfilled that dream. I had read that a stereo and cd player would be available but I may have had that information wrong as different booking sites offered different amenities. We took music with us so our impromptu dance sessions at the Villa and pool were brilliant. Siena....well, Siena.. what can I say. I loved you the first time I saw you and got to know you better this time. Don't miss the Wednesday markets! So, in summary...5 out of 5 for the Villa and Andrea. Would I rent it again? Yes. We were a group of 7 adults and 1 child and had an amazing week at Villa Montelisi. We have lots of experience with holiday rentals and this one had the rare characteristic of being even better than the beautiful pictures. You really could not ask for a more perfect base for a week in Tuscany; there is so much space (each bedroom with its own bathroom, two huge living areas, outdoor and indoor seating), the decor is Tuscan but very tasteful, and the view from the outdoor seating area is just incredible. The hosts, Paolo and Tullio, were lovely; they were there to greet us when we arrived and give us a tour of the property, and available the couple of times we called. The location was also great, just a few km's out of Siena, so a good base for discovering the region. We can certainly recommend it!
