A comfortable stay, a smaller ecological footprint, in harmony with the environment. A small house with a spacious garden in a quiet neighborhood in the north of Aruba. Our house, where we stay for a month and a half a year, is simple but practical and geared to a short stay in Aruba. With the layout and facilities of the house we strive for the smallest possible ecological footprint during your stay in Aruba.

A stay in peace and with plenty of living space. We have deliberately opted for a simple but functional arrangement. The spacious garden and quiet neighborhood gives a sea of tranquility. Various activities and beautiful beaches can be found in the immediate vicinity. In the garden and behind the garden there is a lot of small game, such as various species of lizards, geckos, a single iguana, trupials, parakeets and even hummingbirds.

In order to realize the smallest possible ecological footprint during your stay, we have now made the following provisions:
- Drain shower, sink and kitchen sink for the (underground) watering of the garden.
- Cover the garden with a layer of recycled gravel.
- Optimized dripping system for watering the plants.
- Outdoor areas made of cement and sandy soil from the garden.
- Electric cooking instead of gas. Electricity is being worked up locally and for an increasing share in a sustainable way.

The house has been in our possession since 2017 and we are therefore certainly not finished optimizing the house. The facilities we want to realize are:
- Solar panels, planned realization at the end of 2019.
- Renovation of air conditioning and realization of ventilation system, planned realization at the end of 2019.
- New window frames with double glazing, planned realization in mid-2023.
- Insulation on the outside of the house, planned realization in mid-2027.

Your stay in our home contributes directly to the realization of these facilities. In addition, we will support local projects and facilities in the area of sports and culture in Aruba with the proceeds from the lease.

The house is in complete accessibility except for the storage room. Currently a small room is equipped as storage space. The room is not locked for safety reasons. We ask you not to enter this room without consultation.

We are not on Aruba during your stay. We can be reached by telephone and via various messaging services such as WhatsApp. Moreover, there is a property manager that we can switch.

The house has a limited number of towels (8 pieces), bath towels (6 pieces) and bedding (3 sets) available. During your stay there is no service for cleaning and laundry. The laundry is located about 2.5 km from the house
After your stay, the towels and bed linen are washed and the house cleaned. We ask you to do the dishes before departure.

The lovely beaches of Malmok Beach, Boca Catalina and Arashi Beach are 2 to 3 km away. The California Lighthouse is 5 km from the property. The beautiful rugged east coast of the island is within walking distance. Three beautiful and well marked mountain bike trails are set 800 meters from the house.
