About this property

This is a set of 5 Canary Island houses in a rustic and rural style, situated in El Paso de Abajo (in the Aridane Valley, to the west of La Palma), with magnificent views and 15 minutes from the sea and the mountains, surrounded by almond trees, orange groves and avocados.

The small one-bedroomed houses (B and D), and the large two-bedroomed houses (C, E and F), are exquisitely furnished and include: a fireplace (E and F), fridge, microwave, food mixer, coffee machine and juicer, hairdryer, HI.Fi (C, E, F) and a colour TV and satellite, terrace-garden with a barbecue. As well as a washing machine, iron and a public telephone.

Terrible

When we reach the house late at night we saw we have been given another one than the one booked. We didn’t like this one as we wanted a traditional house and the new one weren’t. When we went inside the smell was as of it was closed from months and impossible to breathe. It was full of insects, which is normal for the country side, but not acceptable because there were several cockroaches. It was not clean at all. We weren’t able to stay in the house because of its bad condition and the owner hasn’t care. I Won’t recommend this to anybody.

Nos alojamos en la casa G, que está ubicada aparte del resto de las casas. La casa es cómoda y el entorno es estupendo, y puedes visitar el resto de la isla fácilmente. Lo que consideramos que podría mejorarse es el equipamiento y mantenimiento de la casa: parte del menaje debería cambiarse (sartenes) porque se pegan y no se puede cocinar en ellas; el agua salía excesivamente caliente ya que el bidón está situado en el tejado de la casa y le da el sol todo el día, dio la casualidad de que pillamos días de mucho calor y el agua se calentaba en exceso; la casa tiene una amplia zona exterior que es uno de sus encantos, pero carecía de sombra (solamente teníamos una sombrilla muy pequeña); la zona donde se tendía estaba sucia cuando llegamos (se lo hicimos saber a la persona de mantenimiento y lo limpió); había un plafón roto en la casa. En resumen, la casa tiene amplias posibilidades, es cómoda y tuvimos una estancia agradable, pero consideramos que deberían cuidarse más estos detalles que menciono por el precio que pagamos. Por otra parte, la atención de Judith, la recepcionista, fue adecuada en todo momento y estuvo disponible para resolver lo que pudiera acontecer. También agradecemos el que nos dejaran llevar a nuestra perrita, que estuvo encantada con todo el espacio del que disponía.
