The charming Country Resort Cortijo Balzaín is situated in the Sierra Nevada National Park (Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO), in the heart of the mountains and at just 8 km from Granada city, 30 km. to the ski resort and 45 km. to the beaches of the Costa Tropical.

The farm is dedicated to the cultivation of almond trees and is surrounded by mountains and lovely trails that invites to walk, while you contemplate splendid views of the city of Alhambra and the summits of Sierra Nevada.

The resort consists on 9 Country Cottages for 4/6 and 6/8 pp. and a Farmhouse for 19/31 pp. on self-catering, a Country Restaurant with WiFi zone, a salted water pool, a children's play area with a small farm, a sports court and an old farm museum.

This Cortijo from XVII century, has been restored acting with the greatest respect to the rustic elements of its former structure, enhancing the character and beauty of these houses.

The cottages are very cozy and comfortable and their names evoke its former uses: the stable, the corral, the barn, the shed... In its interior emphasize elements of wood and stone from its original structure retained throughout the rustic and authentic flavor of its past, in a rural setting full of charm, peace and tranquility.
