Sand Martin

This is the perfect spot to explore Looe and the surrounding areas. The apartment is very cosy and has everything that you could want for a comfortable break. It is tucked away from the town, yet is just minutes from restaurants, shops and the sea front. Looe has a lot to offer tourists and is a great place for a holiday.

Comfortable, clean and wonderful location

Spent three nights in the Sand Martin apartment for New Years eve. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, very comfortable bed and sofa, good shower and well equipped kitchen. Apartment was also extremely clean and nice and warm. Communication with the owner Paul is very quick and he provided plenty of information about how to find the place / check-in and the free parking space that comes with the apartment is a real plus. Whilst there are no views from the apartment the great location right by the beach in Looe makes up for it. It is walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and pubs but on a quiet street so not noisy. Would definitely recommend this place to stay for a couple.

Lovely location, lovely little place, everything we needed for a short break!

Great location for the beach, all the shops and pubs. My husband and I really enjoyed and relaxed, very comfortable and quaint. My chef husband cooked a lovely fresh shellfish platter from local fish market and the kitchen was well equipt and was great. Lovely little cute building and features- perfect for your short break away!

Delightful accommodation in an excellent location

The apartment is clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Its situation, yards from the beach and with many pubs restaurants and shops nearby, could not be better. It was easy to drop off our luggage and the private parking was a bonus in the narrow streets of Looe. We were only there for a weekend but would happily go again for longer. I would highly recommend this property.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation, perfect for a couple!

We had an absolutely lovely couple of days exploring Looe and the surrounding area. It only takes you maximum 5mins from the front door to the sea. There's great pubs and restaurants nearby and the flat was clean and welcoming. Great parking on the sea front! Well worth a visit, would love to visit again for longer! F & K

Fabulous location, clean, well equipped property

We had a wonderful weekend away at Sand Martin. The property is just right for a couple and its location is perfect being close to the beach, harbour and high street. We had everything we needed as the property is so well equipped. It was lovely and clean throughout and very cosy. Communication from the owner was great and a real bonus that a parking permit comes with the property, allowing us to park close by in a secure Carpark. Would throughly recommend Sand Martin to anyone visiting Looe.

Perfect break

This is a perfect little bolthole in the middle of bustling Looe. Very well equipped. Close to all amenities. We booked this apartment especially for the New Years Eve Firework spectacular which was the best yet!

Clean and good location within town

The property was clean and it had all the necessities, including utensils and key kitchen condiments. The owner was helpful on email communication prior to arrival. It was a great location to access the rest of the town. The apartment was a bit dated though and the walls very thin so you could hear next door neighbours (but think noise seemed even louder due to the people staying next door chatting loudly). Also bit of a nuisance having to park in public car park, where we couldn't pay one full fee for the use of the car park for the two days - we had to keep going back to top up the ticket.

Perfect location

Lovely property perfectly located for exploring Looe. We had a great time visiting family in Looe and stayed in the Sand Martin. The apartment is perfect for a couple. Spitting distance from the beach and shops. Easy access and no problems whatsoever. Communication from the owner was fab. We will be back again!

close to everything

a lovely warm apartment up a flight of stairs. Comfortable bed and neat little kitchenette. It had everything we needed and was right by the beach and close to everything in Looe. The free parking was a bit far, but once you have settled in you only need the car for days out, and parking in Cornwall seems to be universally far from the centre of things, but there is so much to do close by that it does not matter.

Great little getaway in the heart of Looe

Sand Martin is the perfect cosy apartment for a weekend getaway at the coast. We loved the location yards from the beach, the 'Banjo' pier and the back streets of the fishing port of Looe. There are some great places to eat and drink in the town and we enjoyed walking the cliff paths - even if it was a bit blustery! The property is well looked after, clean and warm and we would definitely recommend it to friends and family. A brilliant weekend break - thank you!

A real gem! Fab, comfy, cosy little apartment.

Love this place, this was our 3rd visit to Sandmartin. We like to visit in quiet times and walk to Plaidy along the beach path and Polperro. Best thing about this place is its so near the beach and 5 minutes from 2 good pubs, great for popping back for a warmer in the winter. We dont mind parking in the main carpark about 10 mins away as we can walk through Looe and look at the lovely shops and cafes on route. Owner very helpful as usual, we will be back in winter 2017.

Very disappointing, cramped and gloomy.

The property information was misleading, the photos cleverly suggest brighter and more spacious accommodation. In reality we found the flat to be cramped, dark and the decor was tired looking. Space was so limited that the kitchen bin was placed directly next to the sofa. Even allowing for the time of year, there was little natural light because the property is situated off a back alley complete with chained rubbish bins, not the bench which is featured in the marketing material. The view from the windows are the neighbours soil pipes. The final straw was the parking which was a minimum of 15 minutes walking in a remote and largely empty car park. We were not happy to leave the car in such an isolated location fearing its vulnerability to theft or vandalism. We parked closer and had to get up at 7.30 am to replenish our ticket. The landlord was unwilling to negotiate any kind of refund at all.

Immaculate and cosy

From reserving the holiday through to checkout, the owner Paul was extremely helpful. The apartment itself was accurately described in the listing and upon arrival we were impressed. Being quite sporadic people we appreciated the key safe rather than having to arrange to meet the owner. Inside the apartment it was immaculately clean and was kept at a lovely warm temperature and had more than the basics in the kitchen. Plenty of clean and cosy towels for the bathroom. Seconds away from the beach and fantastic restaurants it was perfect for us. We would definitely stay again. A tip: Worth having lots of change ready for the car park.

Great stay!

The property is ideal for an able couple. Access up an external staircase to the first floor apartment. Nice lounge with TV (would have preferred a bigger TV) , DVD player and CD player and Kitchenette, good double bedroom size with spacious storage, very nice size bathroom with excellent shower over the bath. Good location for beach, bars and restaurants which are all very nice. Good access to buses and trains allowing trips to other villages. Lots of sea fishing if you fancy that. All in all a very nice apartment in a nice little fishing village.

Fantastic Sand Martin

We truly enjoyed our week's stay at Sand Martin. The apartment is done up to a high standard and is like home from home for us. It's in an ideal location just a stones throw from the beach. It's also nice & peaceful, we would definetly go back. It's also really close to Mawgan's & Squid Ink, both restaurants do amazing food but book in advance they are very popular. We took a trip to Looe Island which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also went on the glass bottomed boat trip and managed to see three seals. Cannot wait to go back to beautiful Looe.

Perfect!

Sand Martin is a great little apartment that offered everything we needed for a week away from it all. The apartment is clean, well equipped, quiet and warm, great for a winter holiday. The owner answered our query promptly and the booking process was a doddle! We visit Looe in a regular basis and would definitely recommend this property.

Cosy and intimate retreat.....

We had a lovely comfortable stay. Everything we needed was provided, even towels! Even though the weather wasn't the best the accommodation was warm and we could batten down the hatches. Great location for a base to explore Looe and further afield. We would definitely recommend this lovely little place.
