Our farmhouse is located in Sant Martí Sarroca (Barcelona), a municipality with a population of approximately 3200 inhabitants, at an altitude of 291 meters located in the neighborhood of Torre de Vernet and Sant Pere Ad Vincula, six kilometers from Vilafranca del Penedès and four of Sant Martí. It is a traditional farmhouse, built in different stages, probably the base dates from the nineteenth century and was until the 1940/60 female primary school neighborhood-you can see how the house's cellar, was the old classroom of the class, still with the teacher's closet. Renewed and enhanced in two distinct stages in the twentieth century, over the 45s, and in the 70s. As of 1925 it becomes like most of the houses in the region, a farmhouse at full capacity of economic / agrarian activity. Having as a base the work and care of the vineyards, as well as the elaboration of wines, each Masía with its own presses, boots, etc. And its subsequent sale to wholesalers in the area (Bodegas Torres, Trías, Codorniu, Freixenet, Rovellats, etc.) This main activity was complemented with the planting of cereals, wheat, barley, alfalfa, garden products, important production of garlic - which became very important throughout the Penedes - and the raising of farm animals (goats) , rabbits, ducks, geese, chickens, chickens, pigs, etc.). These were small, self-sufficient farms, which combined with the sale of their products in the weekly market on Saturdays in Vilafranca to offer them directly to an important clientele of both the own Vila as of all the region. Custom that has arrived until our days, because even today every Saturday a good part of the region is concentrated in this market, to do its gatherings, exchange of experiences, etc., all in a great rural environment, of payesía very rooted in its district, the Penedès.
During a time - 1910/1960 approx. - the star products, apart from the grape, were the strips of garlic, worked in two braids, melons and watermelons with a large market on Fridays, and also the sale of birds, which grew in importance and quality every day until to our days when the "Gall del Penedès" has become the center of the "Fira del Gall" which is celebrated every year in December, a week before the Christmas holidays.
The farmhouse is therefore in a markedly agrarian area, immersed with a host of Masias scattered throughout the area, each with its delimited portion of land. These mark the character of their men and women, strong, very hardworking as can be seen with the care in which they treat their land, orchards, ... they are austere people, strongly linked to their customs, to their products, to their land to the who care as if it were a garden. The farmhouse is located at the foot of the mountain, overlooking all the Penedès, surrounded by vineyards and cereal fields. It stands out that being only six kilometers from a city like Vilafranca and with extraordinary communications - loops of highways with three exits, several buses to Barcelona daily, 40 minutes by rail from Barcelona and Tarragona, you can breathe a tranquility so accentuated. The area also takes advantage of this great offer of communications that facilitates all its services.
The farm is ready to serve up to ten adults, with facilities for their young children, and with all the essential services.
First Floor: Five large rooms, each with a double bed, a full bathroom that serve all of them, and a large distributor that serves as a living room. We also have two small beds with adjustable railing and a travel cot for the little ones.

We will notice that we are surrounded by a sea of ​​vineyards, taken care of as if it were a garden, the fruit of this work.
