family weekend away

We enjoyed our stay as the weather was on our side. As the property was fully booked out for a family weekend we did find the indoor communal space cramped, and did not really work for us. However the outside space made up for this as we had lovely weather and so used these areas. The dinning area is really only for 14 adults but does get very hot and uncomfortable. The main sitting area is really only for around 10 adults. The only bedrooms accessible from the main house are those on the first floor. To get to all the other rooms you have to go outside (may be a problem if raining). Also there are steps to get to some rooms so may not be great for the elderly. However we were a mixed group and the rooms worked well for us. Each was ensuite with the essentials provided. I preferred the modern rooms (rooms 10/11) to the old cabin style ones (just a preference taste) and only real negative about the rooms was that they were carpeted. Would prefer wooden floors. Bathrooms were very clean. The house had every thing you needed. I had read previous reviews about all the instructions everywhere and to be honest it was not that bad. Few recommendations for the owners - the kitchen bins got a bit confusing with the labelling. Maybe just state what goes in each bin and not what shouldn't. Also maybe update the website to state the correct room size and how each room is accessed. Just some suggestions. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend as a family during our stay and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. Good for families of around 14 adults if you don't want to feel cramped.
