LE CASTELLET - Apartment CESAR, with a surface of 145 sqm, has formerly been partially the living area of the landlord, partially the cellars of the Mas du Galantin. That gives this apartment the unique mixture of bourgeoisie flavor and vineyard taste with high ceiling rooms in the sleeping area and visible wooden supports in the living area. The majestic fireplace and the integrated library give the living room, partially dug into the rock, its final cozy touch.
The fully equipped kitchen is built in Provence style and overlooks the terrace. The luminous veranda overlooks the terrace and the vineyards.
On the ground floor we further find a large double bed room with the main bathroom including a bath, a shower and a WC, completely renovated, giving birth to a beautiful stonewall as in ancient times. Near the kitchen we have a shower room with the washing machine. On the first floor we have another double bed room and two further rooms with each two single beds, as well as a second WC.
The terrace itself has a surface of approx. 60 sqm and lies to a large extend in the shade of a 100-year-old plane-tree, with a nice panoramic view on the vineyards. A large table for 8 and a barbecue help to make the terrace a well appreciated gathering place.
Apartment César as the other three units has full access to the pool, the parking and the garden.

MAS DU GALANTIN - In a 16th century Vineyard Farm (Mas Provençal), not far from the superb medieval village of Le Castellet, at 10 minutes driving distance from Bandol and the beaches:
charm and authenticity in the homeland of novel writer and film maker Marcel Pagnol. We offer you to share the unique atmosphere left by our ancestors in 3 charming Provence style apartments and a historical cottage for 2-8 persons. All 4 carry names of characters from Pagnol’s “Trilogie Marseillaise” and each of them has its own personality.
They all have private shaded terraces equipped with a barbecue or a plancha grill and private entrances. They have in common: a large swimming pool (11 x 5,5 m) on a property of 2.500 sqm facing the vineyards, our house mountain "Gros Cerveau" and a large private parking. They are all equipped with free wireless internet.
A dream of peaceful and untouched surroundings, where the easiness of living and the famous «Provençal accent» cherished by Marcel Pagnol himself persist. Here, the vineyards of the world-famous Bandol and the bronze colored olive-trees are deployed as far as the eye can see.
Mas du Galantin was first mentioned in the official books in the year 1550. It has been extended subsequently over the centuries and reached its actual size in 1897. Historically the property served as vineyard farm to the vine producing domain. It was only in the beginning of the nineteen sixties that both were sold to separate owners and became “Mas du Galantin” (the historical house) and “Domaine Le Galantin” (the vineyard).
We had the chance to become the happy owners of the Mas in 2003. When visiting the first time, we fell in love with the situation, the historic building and felt very good vibes at the property.
We undertook over the years a series of renovations and created the parking and the garden. We created the 3 apartments in the main house – César (145 sqm, sleeping 8), Marius (120 sqm, sleeping 6) and Fanny (90 sqm, sleeping 4) were born. We transformed the cottage at the pool into a cozy apartment – the birth of Panisse (30 sqm, sleeping 4)
Our guests regularly confirm our impression of our first visit – the good vibes at Mas du Galantin. They appreciate the multi-family environment. Many times, we observe children making new friends during their stay at Mas du Galantin and parents having a good time together during their holidays. Many guests are coming back – the biggest compliment we can expect.

Connaissant déjà très bien la région, nous cherchions un grand logement pour le mariage de notre cousin. La maison est magnifique et authentique. Un très bon moment passé entre nous . Grand espace pour de super parties de cache-cache entre petits cousins ☺️. Nous gardons l'adresse précieusement .

Rustikales Haus mit Flair
Wir waren mit vier Familien, insg. acht Erwachsenen und drei Zweijährigen, vor Ort. Insbesondere der Außenbereich und der Pool sind wunderschön und geräumig. Die Terrasse ist fast den ganzen Tag beschattet durch eine schöne Platane. Der Innenereich ist teilweise unrenoviert. In der Küche lebt eine Maus. Deshalb mussten wir die Lebensmittel in Taschen einpacken und es liegt Mäusekot herum. Wir haben uns im Laufe des Aufenthalts daran gewöhnt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Auf unsere Bitte hin hat er noch einmal die Reinigungskräfte geschickt. Kleinere Reparaturen wurden sofort durchgeführt. Im Erdgeschoss liegt ein schönes Schlafzimmer mit Bad en suite (inkl. Badewanne und Dusche), Wohnzimmer, Küche, Bad mit Dusche, Waschbecken und Waschmaschine. Auf dem Treppenabsatz gibt es eine kleine Toilette ohne Waschbecken. Im 1.OG gibt es zwei Türen, die in zwei kleine Schlafräume führen. Durch beide Räume erreichbar gibt es noch ein drittes Zimmer. Dieses kann allerdings nicht separat genutzt werden. Es gibt einen offenen Durchgang ohne verschließbare Tür zum Zimmer mit den Stockbetten. Somit ist immer ein Zimmer ein Durchgangszimmer. In jedem Schlafraum gibt es einen Standventilator, allerdings keine Fliegen-/Mückengitter. Kleiner Wäscheständer ist vorhanden. Insgesamt ein altes Haus mit viel Flair in einer wunderschönen Lage und Umgebung.

Notre sejour a été très agréable dans cette belle bâtisse.le jardin est magnifique et la terrasse très ombragée. Le plus, sa belle piscine sécurisée. Le mas est bien situé, à moins de 10kms de la mer. Un hôte très sympathique et très à l’ecoute.

Au pays des vignes et des oliviers...
Nous n'avons pas vraiment pris le temps de faire du tourisme puisque nous sommes venus pour assister à un mariage. Mais la maison est pleine de charme et très spacieuse et les environs sont magnifiques

Très belle maison, agréable à y vivre, et atypique au vu de son grand âge ! Le lieu est calme, une très belle terrasse où nous avons passé de belles soirées et de l'espace pour les enfants.

I am originally from Provence and Mas du Galantin was my first step towards returning back to my home turfs.

What was first a hobby, became a profession with the acquisition of a second Mas in Bandol. Renovating houses is one of my passions.

Our son is another one. He is a very lively little boy and likes to visit Mas du Galantin.

What I like most about the rental business is the many encounters it allows. Meeting our guests and seeing them happy during their holidays gives me great satisfaction!

Why they chose this property

I always dreamt of owning an old Mas. Mas du Galantin is the realisation of my dream.

The renovation of the Mas took all in all about 2 years and I continuously improve the quality and the comfort of the premises. To preserve the style of Provence is very important for me.

I am a fan of gardens and put all my love into the garden of Mas du Galantin. And here again the Provence touch is important as I use only plants from our region.

From the first visit on, I felt very positive vibrations at Mas du Galantin and many of our guests confirm me this.

What makes this property unique

Mas du Galantin is a very family friendly place - a place of encounters at the crossroads of Southern Provence.
You are close to the beaches, the pulsing life and the tourist attractions but when coming back to the Mas your relaxation time starts immediately.
