About this property

Corner Apartment in the heart of the city centre of Heraklion!

The apartment is in a neoclassical building with a long history. The building was bombed in the battle of Crete during WWII. After the war, my grandmother rebuilt it from scratch. Now all properties in this three-storey buidling are refurbished and fully equipped with all necessary amenities for a quality and comfortable stay. Please note that there is no lift inside the building.

This neighbourhood is one of the oldest in Heraklion! Just opposite you can see the old Venetian grain warehouse of Heraklion. Only a few steps away from the main entrance of the building is the famous Lions square. But what really makes our place special is the ease of access to the central market of Heraklion and all the popular cafes and restaurants of the city.

The wider neighbourhood offers plenty of activities; take a walk to the local shops of the area, visit the many cafes and restaurants around, as well as the various attractions: the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, the Historical Museum of Crete, the Museum of Natural History, the Venetian walls, Knossos, the Venetian fortress 'Koules' at the port of Heraklion, the Venetian Loggia and the Lions square with the Morosini Fountain.
