About this property

Cosy couples' studio gîte in the heart of the Monts D'Arrée with heated pool

Hayloft was previously one of the outbuildings of the farmhouse, which is now Priory, before being converted into a comfortable, cosy studio gîte which sleeps 2. There is space for a cot making it ideal for couples, new families or as overflow accommodation from one of the larger gîtes.
Hayloft has a granite chimney and log burning stove which gives a perfect ‘cocooning’ ambience and keeps the cottage toasty in the colder autumn and winter nights. It is equipped with a gas cooker, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a dining table and chairs as well as a comfortable seating area for relaxing or watching television.
The luxurious bathroom contains a large double-ended bath, WC, vanity unit with twin sinks and over-bath shower.
Wifi is available throughout the gite.
Outside the gîte are 2 private patio areas and sunny garden with hardwood furniture, parasol and a BBQ.
Allocated parking is immediately adjacent to the property. Hayloft is a dog friendly gîte.
All of our guests at Kergudon have access to our many communal facilities.
These include a 10 x 5 heated indoor / outdoor swimming pool and adjacent terrace and pool room (indoor / outdoor as it has a full-height retractable cover that can be opened in good weather); a boot room with a range of wellington boots for you to borrow for walking in the forest; a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Our bike store has mountain bikes available to our guests free of charge; we have a pétanque (boule) pitch and family games room with pool table, babyfoot, electronic darts and a selection of games and books. The games room has a projector and large screen and can be reserved and used as a cinema for a family film night.
We also have a well equipped fitness suite so you can maintain your physical routine when you are with us - or you can start one! David, one of the owners, is a fully qualified Personal Trainer who can generate a program for you or give you fitness training, yoga or pilates.
Smoking is not permitted in any of the gîtes at Kergudon.

Difficile de faire mieux ! Accueil sympathique et chaleureux . Studio "cosy" parfaitement aménagé et équipé (rien ne manque) Deux endroits pour profiter du jardin, soleil le matin pour le petit-déjeuner et salon l'après-midi pour le farniente. On a apprécié aussi le cidre et la confiture locale de bienvenue. Enfin,bref, tout était parfait. Je recommande absolument .

Cette propriété a beaucoup de charme, le logement est propre, confortable, agréable et bien situé pour randonner dans cette belle région. Un plus: les chiens sont les bienvenus et bénéficient de nombreuses attentions des propriétaires (tapis de sol, serviette, gamelles...), propriétaires très accueillants par ailleurs. We bought Kergudon at the end of 2014 and moved here from our hectic lives in south west London. We can't believe this is now the start of our 10th year here!
David is sports coach and personal trainer who has continued teaching at a gym in Brest
as well as his private clients that he teaches in our own gym space either remotely (online) or in person. He can also put our guests through their paces with a personalised fitness session in Kergudon's own gym.
Ben worked in finance in the city and now enjoys developing, improving and maintaining the properties.

Why they chose this property

Kergudon is perfectly situated to be your base to enjoy and explore this beautiful region.
We are situated in the rural, but active, village of Saint Cadou which itself is in the Parc naturel d'Armorique and the Monts D'Arrée with its amazing forests, hills and walks not to mention amazing starlit dark skies at night.
We are central to much of Finistère and equidistant from the north, west and south coasts allowing you to choose a different beach every day should you wish, and allowing you to return to the tranquillity of Kergudon each day and avoid the crowds of tourists on the coast. It also means, should it not be beach weather, you can explore the many interesting and historic towns and villages of Finistère just as easily.

What makes this property unique

Hayloft is the perfect, cosy and private destination for a couple who want to escape, cocoon and relax. The cottage is well-equipped with all you would need to self-cater or can be the perfect bolt-hole if you prefer to enjoy the many restaurants and activities in the area. It has 2 outdoor spaces which catch the sun at different times of the day, so you can enjoy your breakfast or morning coffee on one, and BBQ and relax by a firepit in the evening on the other.
