About this property

Originally built in 1800 and recently restored, the building has retained many of its historical elements such as the thick walls that serve to protect the property against the cold winter temperatures.
Maison de Giovanni is spread over two floors with an independent entrance.
The first floor is comprised of a large and bright living area with double sofa bed that can accommodate two people, a coffee table and a TV corner plus a large modern kitchen, fully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Next to the living room is a double bedroom with a beautiful stone ceiling which boasts a life of two centuries. Also on this floor is a spacious bathroom, complete with all amenities including an enclosed shower area. From the kitchen, a long balcony overlooks the Matterhorn valley, which offers guests a spectacular view.

Access to the living area is through a staircase on the ground floor. A small hallway opens up to a small sleeping area where there is ample wardrobe space, a bedroom with two single beds that can be joined together and a master bedroom furnished with antique wooden furniture and an extra bathroom with all amenities.

Maison de Giovanni is an excellent choice for families or groups of adults who want to enjoy the enchanting village of Valtournenche without the hassle of having to use a car.

Alpine getaway

Excellent location pictures were accurate. Well appointed kitchen. The directions to the chalet did not have the actual address so GPS did not understand it so we had to rely on the map give to us. Place was very clean with the exception of the washing machine detergent dispenser. This was very dirty and we had to clean it out before using. Although the first and last cleaning are included in the price, a few cleaning supplies for this day would be appreciated, such as dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent. I would also recommend a privacy curtain for the upstairs bedroom as it looks out into the main living area. All and all I would recommend and would return.
