The Pine Cone cabin was exactly as described and pictured. The beds were comfortable, the living area very cozy and inviting, and the fully stocked kitchen with all the small appliances we needed was perfect. The dishwasher and washer and dryer were extras we used and appreciated. Communication with Lori was quick and easy, as were the check-in and check-out procedures. The location, in the midst of the pines, was great. It was also close to town, where we ate at several good restaurants. We would love to stay again!

Pine Cone Cabin

The cabin is in an excellent location in the beautiful tall pines. The pine cone theme was excellently portrayed throughout the cabin. We loved the handpainted birds and art decor, as well. It was very well furnished and stocked.

We had an amazing Time!

We had such a wonderful time! The cabin had everything you could need, it was clean, beautiful, and very comfortable! The pictures online truly don’t do this cabin justice. We had an issue with the DVD player and the owners were very quick to help solve the problem. All in all it was an ideal vacation spot for us! We would LOVE to come back.

Very cute cabin

I absolutely loved the decor in this adorable cabin! I was amazed at how the pine cone theme was carried throughout the whole cabin. So cute! The only downside is there are not any blinds or shades on the windows so really no privacy at night. We felt a little exposed and just a little bit unnerving. Also, we attempted to use the grill but the igniter was not working or we couldn’t get it to work. Left a message for the owners to see if there was a trick to light it, but no response. Overall, good cabin!

Cute cabin getaway with great bird watching & DVD selections!

Our family enjoyed a 3 day getaway to the wonderful cooler temperatures of Pinetop at this cabin. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated - it sure felt like a mountain cabin with the pine cone, wooden and evergreen accents. Starting the day with a cup of coffee on the back porch and breathing in the cold, fresh, mountain air was such a treat! The bathrooms were recently upgraded with nice stonework/tile and also there was a large shower with shelf in the master bath. One item to note is the shower head in the master bath was a little low for us, as my husband and I are tall. Towels were nice and thick and new. The kitchen was also very spacious and fairly well equipped. The dishwasher and fridge look fairly new. There was a large screen TV with a super DVD collection with lots of genres including some modern titles - our family watched about 4 to 5 movies in front of a big fireplace while we were here. We also enjoyed the privacy behind the cabin and all the bird feeders. I am a birder and this was a pleasant surprise - there were juncos, Acorn Woodpeckers, nuthatches, Steller Jays, bushtits, Mtn Chickadees, etc. I also heard, but did not see Turkey. Of course the squirrels and chipmunks too. We brought our own cribbage board but there are classic board games (checkers, backgammon) plus some others available to play. While you want to unplug and rewind, you may want to still connect digitally but if you do, you will have to use your own data plans, there is no wi-fi available at the cabin. Thank you for letting us stay at your place and for adding to our family memories.

We loved this cabin! Very well appointed. Lots of extras and kitchen nicely stocked with pans, glassware and utensils. Wonderful location close to town but quiet. Sitting on the covered back porch watching the bluejays was very praceful

What a lovely cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. The ambience of the log walls with the art work was so soothing. Loved the forest views out the windows. I highly recommend!

Amazing Cabin & Trip

Simply amazing, when we arrived the instructions were clear and the cabin was awesome, clean and everything you need to enjoy your stay no matter how long, just bring clothes and food! The views were amazing and there is privacy, you have your own space, and cabin the neighbors aren't to close. The weather was perfect (December), not to cold but cold enough to make a fire day/night. The rooms were stocked with blankets, fresh sheets/pillows. The kitchen had everything you need to cook/clean/bake/eat. The cabin is just amazing. There are DVDs and Games to play. There is stores/restaurants close by, along with shopping. It is quiet and peaceful, highly recommend and will visit again! Thank you!

Fine. Couple of suggestions: 1. Some of the doors are stiff to open and close 2. Poor choice of TVchannels e.g few national channels. No Fox Business, no national Fox News, no Bloomberg, USA was local etc

Relaxing get away

We have stayed in this cabin before and have enjoyed the location, it is located nicely from the street and backs up to the forest. The owners are amenable to any communication needs which makes it very reassuring.

Pinecone cabin

Cabin was very inviting. The only draw back is most of the restaurants were either closed or open certain days due to staffing issues. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Eric and I met while on a trip and so the idea of going somewhere else to renew relationships and create memories is a big part of who we have been for over 30 years. We hope this place has that potential for our guests. Eric travels frequently for business and as a mattress manufacturer really misses his bed at home, so making sure this place had comfortable beds was a must. I grew up in the Midwest and have always hoped that my guests feel at home when they visit. We hope you find we made this place what you imagined in a log cabin.

Why they chose this property

We have been learning about and loving the Pinetop-Lakeside, White Mountain area for 10 years and LOVE the flora and fauna of the mountains that come with the cooler temperatures. We realized what a gem this area really is and how much it has to offer. The idea of a real log cabin was incredibly appealing and this one is easy to get to, yet once you are inside you are away from it all. The back yard is forest and out front you can just sit on the porch and enjoy the wind in the pines and the songs of the birds.

What makes this property unique

The log cabin was in disrepair when we bought it, but we had it worked on and then Lori lovingly worked on the cabinets, the bathroom mirrors and the decor so that guests have a true mountain experience. There are bird feeders placed around the property and seed and food in a bin so fill up the feeders and let the squirrels impress you with their beauty and the birds of many varieties sing you a song as you relax.
This is a place to unwind and enjoy!
