About this property

Gîte "chez Martin et Alice", close to Belqique's most beautiful megalithic site

Behind a magnificent limestone farm, you enter a small corner of paradise at the bottom of which sheep graze quietly at the edge of the pond. Martin, Alice, Véronique and Joël invite you to enter their sumptuous garden with trees and flowers and to climb onto their balcony.
You then arrive in their magnificent gîte which has been fully restored and fitted out by Joël. The character and authenticity have been preserved with the woodwork and half-timbering. The decoration combines old and modern, the equipment is new and comfortable (TV and wifi available). The beds are prepared, the linen is provided. Very quickly, you will feel at home in our bright cottage with a breathtaking view. A whole part of the garden is reserved for you.
The region is beautiful and full of discoveries and activities.
The house is 500 meters from the Menhirs of Oppagne and the Dolmen of Oppagne.
The megalithic site of Wéris is the 1st tourist attraction. You are also 7 km from the charming little town of Durbuy. The Aisne valley offers superb wooded hikes.
Among the activities, let us quote: the small wonder of Durbuy, the golf of Durbuy, the caves of Hotton, the labyrinth of Barvaux, the small bat in Bomal, the Chlorophyle park in Dochamps, ...
You can discover many artisanal products such as the Defroimont chocolate factory in Erezée, the cheeses with the flavors of dolmens in Morville, the Oster brewery, ...

Our cottage is ideal for a couple and can accommodate a 3rd person.

Wonderful quiet place

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. We fam for 4 days and spent almost every day in the wonderful garden. A big part of the garden is only for the guests which is super nice and quiet. Veronique and Joel have been amazing hosts. They invited us for a glass of wine in their part of the garden and offered us to use all their herbs and spices in their garden. The accomodation was super cozy and we Had all we needed. We will be defintely coming back:)

A perfect stay in the heart of Wallonia

Einfach wundervoll!

Mein Sohn und ich hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Garten ist auch mit dem Wort phänomenal noch nicht ausreichend beschrieben. Man fühlt sich wie im Paradies. Wir haben auch herrliche Wanderungen direkt vom Haus aus unternommen. Der Vermieter ist sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. 100-prozentige Empfehlung!

Ideal für Leute, die es ruhig und ländlich mögen.

Die Unterkunft ist in einem kleinen Dorf und hat einen großen Garten zur Benutzung.Die Wohnfläche ist auf 2 Ebenen und nur über steile Treppen zugänglich. Der Vermieter ist sehr bemüht und gibt Tipps zur Erkundung der näheren Umgebung.Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Prima Erholung in idyllischer Umgebung

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem ausgebauten ehemaligen Bauernhof und ist sehr idyllisch in einem kleinen Dorf und grüner und ruhiger Umgebung gelegen. Die sanitären Einrichtungen sind neu und funktional; das Bett ist sehr bequem. Die Wohnung gewinnt ihren Charme durch viele Antiquitäten, mit denen sie ausgestattet ist. Einmalig ist die Veranda, von der man das Frühstück in der Morgensonne mit Blick auf einen Teich, den Obst- und den Kräutergarten und die Ardennen genießen kann. Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und geben gern Tipps zur Erkundung der Region. Das Haus liegt direkt an mehreren Wanderrouten zu den Menhiren in der Umgebung. Nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeiten liegen sechs Kilometer entfernt; die sehenswerte Großstadt Lüttich erreicht man in ca. 40 Minuten mit dem Pkw. Ich habe meinen 1-wöchigen Aufenthalt sehr genossen.Stefan

Erholsame 3 Tage Kurzurlaub

Netter Eigentümer und Empfang. Ruhige Lage mit großem Garten, der leider wegen des Regenwetters nicht nutzbar war. Aber das kann man beim nächsten Besuch ja nachholen. Als Deutscher weis ich die Gelassenheit und Freundlichkeit der Belgier zu schätzen, egal ob im Geschäft beim Einkauf, im Restaurant oder einfach das freundliche Hallo beim Spaziergang. Hier können wir Deutsche noch viel lernen. Insgesamt 3 schöne erholsame Tage.

Zeer gezellige en complete gite met alles er op en er aan. Zeer goed en vriendelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw Veronique. Zeer rustige omgeving met prachtige tuin en gezeliig terras. Snachts schitterende sterrenhemel bij helder weer! Prima uitvalsbasis voor wandel en motortochten en centraal gelegen om de mooiste stadjes te bezoeken.

Pure Erholung

Wir haben diesen Urlaub sehr genossen. Eine ruhige Umgebung, eine perfekt ausgestattete Ferienwohnung, ein großer Garten (inkl. Kräutergarten!) zur Verfügung. Was will man mehr? Wer Trubel sucht ist falsch. Wer Erholung sucht, kann es nicht besser treffen.

Schöne, urige kleine Wohnung in absoluter Ruhe
