“El Corral de la Higuera”, placed in Sierra de Gata, is born from the restoration of a typical “serrana” house. Using the materials of the original house (adobe, beams, tiles…), and achieving that tradition and comfort go together.

Sierra de Gata moves us to villages and surroundings where time seems to have stopped. Its peace and serenity surround the visitor from the very first moment. All seasons are good to visit Sierra de Gata. Enjoy summer with its rivers and natural pools, spring is a colourful season here, and in autumn/winter, visitors can walk around and pick up chestnuts and mushrooms.

El precio elevado, pero la casa está muy bien. El único pero además del precio son las escaleras, para personas mayores y niños hay que tener cuidado, por lo demás todo muy bien.

IDEAL PARA DESCONECTAR

La casa es muy acogedora, tanto César (dueño) y Arancha (encargada) son personas muy cercanas y amables. El pueblo es muy tranquilo, ideal para desconectar y descansar , sus habitantes son muy amables. La Sierra de Gata me ha encantado y me vais a perdonar que no os cuente nada porque eso debeis descubrirlo vosotros sólo deciros que os va encantar.

Hola, estuvimos cinco días en octubre dos personas y una gata. La casa es muy confortable, calida y tranquila, no le falta de nada. El entorno es espectacular, los pueblos y sus gentes. La información que mandaste fue muy util y completa. Nos lo pasamos genial buscando setas (aunque solo encontramos un par de ellas) y recogiendo castañas. Agradeceros a Patricia y a ti el hacernos sentir como en casa. Desde luego que la recomiendo.

Un lugar con encanto

Hemos pasado 4 días a últimos de agosto en el Corral de la Higuera, tres personas y un perro. La casa está situada en una preciosa calle donde aun hay gente que te saludan y se paran a hablar contigo. La casa es una gozada, con un montón de detalles, mas grande de lo que parece y con todo lo necesario, por poner una pega; las escaleras (que la arquitectura lo pide) pero que después de patear esos bellos pueblos empinados cuesta subirlas. Los alrededores aunque no nos dio tiempo a ver mucho nos hemos llevado unas magnificas imágenes para nuestro recuerdo y respecto a la atención de Cesar y Patricia una maravilla, Patricia ha estado todo el rato pendiente de que no nos faltase de nada (gracias por decirnos donde comprar una exquisitez de quesos) En resumen un muy buen sitio para pasar unos agradables días. Ojala nos volvamos a ver.

La casa es una auténtica maravilla, hemos estado el último fin de semana de Febrero, y no se le puede poner un solo pero. El dueño, nos facilitó toda la información posible sobre la zona, y la comunicación con él ha sido muy buena. La chica que nos abrió la casa, encantadora y preguntando todos los días por nosotros. La casa, espectacular, muy acogedora, con todas las comodidades, y en un sitio precioso. La zona, es muy bonita. Altamente recomendado. Un saludo.

Una casa encantadora

?Hola, hemos pasado unos días a finales de Junio en la casa y la verdad es que me encanto. Nos gusto la casa más cuando la vimos que en las fotografías. Una casa limpia, ordenada y con una decoración de muy buen gusto. Tiene un patio maravilloso para disfrutar durante el día y es muy acogedora. Ojala hubiera mas casas rurales así, prácticamente no le falta un detalle, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar una estancia estupenda.

FENOMENAL!!!

Estuvimos en la casa en septiembre y volveremos seguro. La casa impecable, todo nuevo, el trato de los propietarios fenomenal y el entorno sorprendente. Nos dieron una información muy amplia de la zona, y otro fin de semana seguiremos descubriendo la Sierra de Gata. Gracias a Esmeralda y César, que han sido super atentos.

totalmente recomendable

Fuimos tres parejas el fin de semana pasado. El alojamiento está a estrenar, el entorno por descubrir, y la casa si quieres no sales de ella, con el futbolin y el patio. Hay unos cuantos pueblos para ver muy cerquita de la casa, estupendo centro de operaciones.

The house is very well situated to visit other picturesque villages in Sierra de Gata, such as Gata (5 kms), Santibánez el Alto (8 kms), Robledillo de Gata (11 kms), Acebo (22 kms), Trevejo (36 kms), San Martín de Trevejo (39 kms), Hoyos (19 kms), and other landscapes that allow the visitor to make a stop and enjoy the peace and harmony of the surroundings.

The rivers and natural pools refresh during hot periods and Borbollón reservoir (11 kms) is ideal for fishing and nautical sports.

It’s recommended the visit the regions Las Hurdes, Las Batuecas, La Peña de Francia or Jerte Valley, with beautiful landscapes and old traditions.

Monfragüe National Park is also worth a visit and small villages in Portugal close to the border.
