The cottage has been rated 4 star by the Local Tourist Legislation. It has 4 bedrooms, all en suite and kitchen-dining room complete with wood burning stove and a sofa that just pulls you in. There is also a terrace, accessed from the kitchen - perfect for starting the day the right way with an al fresco breakfast. In addition, there is a patio that has a barbecue, a shaded area for cooking and eating during the summer months, which is also a shelter for the winter. There is also a chill out zone, with garden furniture perfect for relaxing or pulling a cheeky siesta.
Laura bought the cottage in 2012 I am a person full of concerns for the world but super-proud of my origins. Travelling here and there in many different countries around the world, I discovered that what I really wanted was to renovate an old ruin in my family village: Aldeasona. And as everybody knows, finding a ruin to renovate is not as easy as it looks, especially if you want to buy one in a place so specific. After I bought the place, I then found out the may grandma had lived there, as well as my mother when she was a child, and even that some of my uncles were born there! This made me very happy. And, after the ruin was mine, then came the grand project of finding the right construction materials - a project of almost four years. Lengthy, but rewarding. All carried out with great care. And now, the dream is complete; my only hope now is that you enjoy your stay here.
According to local sources, the house dates from the start of the last century and is use dup until the 1950s. What happens thereafter, nobody is really sure. It belonged to a family, who would rent it out to locals. My maternal grandparents moved there when they got married. They lived the for a while after my mother was born, until they had saved enough to build their own cottage. As such, my mother spent her infancy there and several of my uncles were born there. Later other families would come and with the passing of time and waves of migration to the city, the cottage was eventually sold and became a warehouse for storing grain. For a few summers, it was transformed into una peña (a club for young men from the village), la peña el sapo they called it. The house eventually fell into my hands by coincidence. I had spent years wanting to restore an old ruin, and chatting and having a drink I realised that Marcial wanted to sell the place. One could say at the time that it really was a total ruin - have a look at the photos on my Facebook page and judge for yourself" One could say that this is the story of a cottage with a soul, and that we are (you are!) giving it a new lease of life. But who knows: maybe this isn't the history of a cottage, but a cottage with history - the history of the various families that have passed through the house, the grain stored in the warehouse, of the comings and goings of the youth club who came together to tell stories and drink sangria. With this restauration the cottage is reborn and we give you the opportunity to spend great times here with people we appreciate. I hope that you enjoy your stay in (Casa de Laura). For me, I am just happy that the story continues.
The cottage has been restored with much love and care and I have tried to preserve all the lovely details. I've been working on the ruin for 4 years…without rushing, but without pause….well, maybe with a slight rush recently when I saw how the work was advancing. However: you can decide for yourself - we know that a picture can say a thousand words, so maybe it's best that you check out the selection of photos to see what you are going to find here. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, to pass a great weekend here, and if you have any doubts or if you have any special requirements please do not hesitate to ask. In any case, if you arrive and find anything missing, don't hesitate in saying so: your comments and suggestions can help me to do things better. The

The village of Aleasoña can be found in la Villa y Tierra de Fuentidueña, ideal if you want to get to know the region of Ribera de Duero or el Rio Duraton. Observe the Lion Vultures in its natural habitat - a real spectacle. If what you like is the night, in Aldeasoña you can enjoy a sky with hardly any light pollution.
