An open plan studio flooded with light, nestled the amongst the trees and overlooking the Aveyron River. What makes it unique is that it is in the village of Saint Antonin Noble Val but has a huge outdoor space plus a private plunge pool.
A perfect getaway for 2!
Inside:
The open plan living space comprises a queen-sized bed (with bedding), seating area, kitchenette with hob, microwave fridge freezer, cafétière etc....
The bathroom has a large Italian shower and comes with towels.

There is ample space to dine inside or out as well as a comfy seating area inside and a choice of spaces outside to use.
With wifi throughout as well as electric shutters and under-floor heating, every thought has given to make your stay comfortable.
With 6 windows and a porte-fenêtre the studio is flooded with light even on the dullest of days. Plus at night you can use the electric shutters for that perfect night's sleep.

Outside:
Recycled materials have been used to create the space both inside and out and the gardens have been planted using local species as well as cuttings from ours and local gardens.
On the top patio help yourself to various herbs and fruits (in season) or take your breakfast in the early morning sunshine on the little wooden decking (16m2)

On the lower, bigger deck (28m2); watch the red squirrels as they play in the trees, observe the birds in their nests and listen for the canoeists as they pass by on the Aveyron River.
It's the perfect place to relax, do yoga, meditate or just eat and watch nature in action.

On the bamboo steps you can see how many varieties of plants you can spot (last count 35), relax with your favourite book on the lower patio or cook up a barbecue!

There are also lots fishing spots along the river just 10 minutes walk from the studio where you can catch Barbel, Pike, Carp, Zander to name a few.

The village has everything you need for your stay; supermarket, bank, post office, cinema (often with English films), newsagents. There are plenty of restaurants and bars too, some which overlook the river and cliffs as well as some great local places to go for a lazy afternoon either next to one of the beaches on the river or in yet another vibrant medieval town.

Throughout the year there are a whole host of festivals to go to.
A few are:
Fête du sport – May – 3 days of outdoor activities (most of which are free) including canoeing, rock climbing, archery, zip lining …
Fête de la Musique - 21st June - a country wide festival which celebrates the true diversity of music
Samba Al Païs – July - 3 day World music festival
Fête des Battages - 1st weekend in August - a day long festival of traditional farming techniques culminating in a 6 course open air meal.
Fête du village – 2nd weekend in August – with open air disco and fireworks over the river
Fêtes Médiévales - September - includes all manner of medieval activities
Fête de la pomme - October- where you can press your own apple juice!

Plus during the summer months each village has its own week long summer festival which can include theatre, night markets, antique fairs, vide greniers (car boot sales) , outdoor discos and generally a firework display.
Many of the bars and restaurants also have live music during the week too.

About the host

We have lived in this beautiful area of France for the past 13 years and have totally embraced French village life.

Why they chose this property

It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the scenery is, how lucky I am to go hiking, biking and swimming minutes from the door and sometimes how long it takes me to get into the centre of the village because I've spent so much time chatting with my neighbours.
It's in the village but it's the last house before the boundary so all we see and hear is nature!

What makes this property unique

Les Terrasses is unique because it's in nature, has its own private plunge pool to cool down with in summer ( a rarity in the village) and it has ample outdoor space (also a rarity)
