About this property
Beatrice - Charming accommodation in period farmhouse near Montepulciano
Beatrice is a splendid 5-seater residence inside Podere La Cava. It is spread over three floors and includes a large dining room with fireplace, a cozy living room, a delicious kitchen, three bedrooms and a terrace that offers a splendid view over the whole Val di Chiana. On request it can be combined with the Laura residence to create a single accommodation suitable for 10 people. The entire farm has been recently completely renovated in full respect of the Tuscan tradition using local materials and craftsmen. Podere La Cava is a typical Tuscan farmhouse located in the countryside between Montepulciano and Chianciano Terme whose name derives from a nearby gravel pit. Its construction probably dates back to the 18th century, it is certainly already visible in a map from 1826 and since the end of the 1800s it belongs to the Ricci family who have always used it for summer holidays. Surrounded by woods and olive groves, it enjoys a splendid view over the Val di Chiana which extends to Lake Trasimeno. Due to its position, Podere La Cava is ideal for those who want peace and quiet in the countryside or take pleasant walks. The structure is very close to important spas and cities of art. The spas of Montepulciano and Chianciano are very close, those of Bagni Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo and San Casciano are only a few kilometers away as are the historic centers of Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, the entire Val d'Orcia and the Val di Chiana. All the places of interest in southern Tuscany, Umbria and northern Lazio are close at hand, even Rome and Florence can be reached by car in one day.

Our stay was lovely. The villa was exceptionally clean, communication with the property owner was always answered quickly and the the location and grounds were stunning. Great location to town and restaurants. We would stay here again without hesitation.
The property is exactly what you hope for in a Tuscan property. Wonderful amenities such as pool and outdoor eating and lounging.
We would definitely stay here again.

Short drive to town. Plenty of things in between
Host was extremely responsive to any requests.
Excellent experience!
The property was exactly as we expected, almost better, so quiet and yet close to Montepulciano and other small towns. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & the communication was excellent. They communicated with us, and met us at the property within 5 minutes of our arrival & answered all of our questions. Highly recommend.
Lovely location with many amenities nearby (spa, groceries, wineries, sightseeing). In the Beatrice apt rooms were on the second floor so large and heavy suitcases could be a challenge. We stayed in Oct so the evenings were cool and there was a pellet stove for heat. Unfortunately we were informed that the cost of heat was our responsibility and this was not mentioned in the listing.
My husband, adult daughter & sister-in-law had a wonderful time at this villa. We had a water issue one morning & it was fixed within the hour. Very impressed. Thank you Irene!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the property. It was a much needed respite after a busy four days in Venice and Florence. Plenty of room for the three of us and loved that there were two full baths. Too chilly to use the pool but it was pretty to look at. The view from terrace was simply stunning! Owners were accessible and promptly took care of our needs. Highly recommend!

Hi Kristi, glad that you enjoyed our place and your staying...hope to see you again!
We were so fortunate to stay at this beautiful country home overlooking vineyards and farmland below. The home is impeccable, filled with antiques, dressed with lovely linens, and exudes a sense of history, love and care of this charming place. It was a short 10 minute drive to the town of Montepulciano and convenient to the main roads. Communication with the owners and their friend who was available to answer our questions ( in perfect English), was always prompt. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with very nice linens, the bathrooms updated and the cheery kitchen is extremely well stacked with pots, pans and cooking utensils. The only drawback is that there are many steps in the 3-story home (as with all historic places), so it would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues to navigate.
My husband said if this property ever was put up for sale, he would buy it! We hope to return again for a longer stay.
