No smoking.. Cormorant View is a spacious house situated in a gated cul-de-sac within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, attractions and sandy beaches of Weymouth.

Internally this spacious accommodation is furnished to a high standard and offers fantastic views over the River Wey, nature reserve and town centre. A stairgate and stroller are also available on request. Externally, the garden offers the perfect place to sit and unwind, or enjoy a barbecue on a warm summer’s evening.

Cormorant View is set in the perfect location to enjoy Radipole Lake, either by enjoying the views from the property or walking around the lake amongst the wildlife. This is a great place for all the family to visit, with a fantastic array of birdlife, from finches and robins to the lesser known Cetti’s warblers and bitterns.

The shallow waters of Weymouth Bay provide fantastic conditions for kite surfing, wind surfing and sailing, and played host to a series of major sailing events in the 2012 Olympics.

For those in search of culture, Portland Castle is nearby and is considered to be one of King Henry VII’s finest coastal forts. Literary fans should head to ’Hardy’s Cottage’, the former home of Thomas Hardy, which has remained largely unchanged from the time Thomas lived there and is where he wrote ’Greenwood Tree’ and ’Far from the Madding Crowd’.

Cormorant View is a lovely house to stay in, it was clean and tidy, although some of the picture frames were in need of dusting. The views from the windows in the lounge and main bedroom are spectacular and it iwas a pleasure to wake up and see birds opposite.We had 7 people staying and while there were enough items in the kitchen, there were only 8 tea/coffee cups and 8 forks, some additional forks and mugs would have been useful. We also had an issue using the oven, as we could only get the top one to warm up.There is a useful shop a couple of minutes walk away and a larger supermarket wihin a 5 minute drive, so no issues on stocking up once we arrived.It is a short walk into town, and while the property is situated next to the main road, there is an underpass that takes you to the old town bridge removing the need to try and cross any busy roads.

Fabulous House & Hosts

Really great property, with lots of space. Really well maintained, and spotlessly clean with almost everything we needed. Super friendly hosts who gave us an early check-in and a late check-out. We were in Weymouth for Ironman and the location was perfect as could walk everywhere. The only constructive feedback would be it could use a second shower in main bathroom as only one in the ensuite and a clothes airer as the weather was terrible and we all got soaked and had clothes hanging from every door!

Great location for walking into the town centre

The property is a really good size, great for 2 families. Although 2 double bedrooms would’ve been better for us rather than 2 twin rooms. A few things need fixing or updating but nothing that negatively affected our stay. The road next to the house is very noisy, we didn’t keep the windows open for long, but it’s location was the most important thing to us. We easily walked to the beach in 10 minutes and down to the harbour in less than 20 minutes. A great base to stay at to have a great holiday in Weymouth.

Lovely house over 3 floors with car parking close to town centre. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable lounge with lovely views across lake from first and second floor. Comfortable beds. Asda is only a short drive away and there are some restaurants very close and it is about a 10minute walk into Weymouth Town Centre. A point to note is that the shower in the bathroom on the first floor is a hand held shower which you had to hold in your hand as there was nowhere to attach it to. Not an issue for us as we all just used the shower in the en-suite to the master bedroom on 2nd floor but worth being aware of. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a lovely holiday.

We had a lovely holiday. The whole family enjoyed staying. It is light and spacious and easy to keep clean...important in a pandemic! The owner was extremely helpful and we cannot understand the previous review. That was not our experience at all. The location is great for access to the beach, shops, walking, everything really. The only slight negative is some noise from traffic if you sleep with the windows open in the main bedroom. That's no problem for the other bedrooms and didn't detract from our holiday. It is the only negative we found, if anyone is sensitive to noise at night. We would definitely like to stay here again. Weymouth is a great place to visit. We enjoyed our family holiday. The property was well situated approx eight minutes walk from the beach. We found the stairs a bit tiresome, this would not suit anyone with mobility problems.

Great accommodation for us - very central and easy to walk everywhere.

Great accommodation for us - very central and easy to walk everywhere. Very comfortable and had everything we needed but bins etc not emptied before we arrived. We were a very late booking so appreciate perhaps limited time for changeover. Would stay again and would recommend to others
