Casa del Sole Bed & Breakfast - Panoramic loft in Venice city center

Attic of 45 mt2 full of sun and light, the top floor of a Venetian building of 1925, with a wooden terrace and unparalleled views of the city. It can accommodate two to four people with double bed to mirrors in the attic room and comfortable sofa bed for two more people in the living area, even if Sergio and Flavia prefer only accommodate two people or families of three / four people, in fact we prefer NOT accept two couples as the loft is small and with little privacy for four adults. Breakfast is included and self, my wife Flavia will you find in house, coffee, tea, herbal teas homemade jam, butter, bread, rusks and biscuits, yogurt and fresh fruit, and finally an aromatic Homemade brandy. Casa del Sole is equipped with private bathroom with toilet & shower & bidet, hair dryer, various soaps and courtesies bath, heating, air conditioning, Internet access with free WiFi and computer station, satellite TV Flat Screen International with more than 500 channels World accessible, Dolby surround System Sereo, small art historical library with books and guides in various foreign languages, board games and a free city map on arrival will be delivered with the most important information. In the small kitchen area is NOT allowed to cook with gas fire, but only heated foods with power tools, Microwave, Toaster, Refrigerator and Coffee machine / tea.
Casa del Sole with separate entrance, is located on the top floor but no elevator, just above our apartment where we live and thus guaranteeing our constant presence in case of further needs and / or information; still in full output range and return dates with keys provided to the Guests,
The attic is very quiet and allows you to enjoy the bright Venetian dawns on you prepared for a breakfast on the terrace, to the sound of the bells of nearby churches ... and especially the beautiful sunsets to enjoy dining by candlelight or just sipping a glass of good wine.

Casa del Sole was ideal for our stay in Venice. The apartment was clean, well-stocked and centrally located. The bonus of having a rooftop patio was fantastic! This is an excellent property for a couple spending several days in Venice. The hosts were gracious and helpful. We hope to return in the future.

Wonderful location and place

We thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop deck, especially in the later evening. Very good market close by.Be aware that there is no elevator and this is on the fourth floor. I would stay there again.

Wow! Fabulous apartment and location!

We enjoyed the apartment and the rooftop deck. The views were amazing. The apartment was close to all the things we wanted to see. Our hosts had thought of everything: coffee, fruit, yogurt, butter, bread, jam, water, etc. There is a very nice little grocery store about a block away.

The best place for couples in Venice

Wonderful property with fully stocked breakfast kitchen. Host were absolutely wonderful, Silvia made homemade grappa and preserves that were delicious. I can’t say enough about the property and location! Other than the hike up the stairs ( can’t be helped in these buildings - beware) the apartment was a dream and the balcony upstairs was a wonderful retreat from the crowds. This one is a must!!

We absolutely loved this property, the location was great, the deck was amazing, and it was so easy to to get everything. We ended up making dinner several nights and eating on the deck... that view was perfect for morning breakfast and evening dinners. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful 3 night stay

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. Great views from the roof top deck. Host was very gracious and made sure to leave us with some great food. Especially enjoyed the homemade strawberry jam. A lot of stairs but worth it.

Wonderful Oasis

Casa del Sole was such a welcoming and cozy apartment. We absolutely loved our stay. Sergio and Flavia have thought of everything and we were very comfortable. We loved the rooftop area and found the location perfect. An easy walk to everything we wanted to do but so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was great with excellent directions on how to get there from the train station. A welcome by the owner. Unique place being in the attic, but super clean and quiet. It made our stay in Venice unique and special! Very convenient location!

Wonderful property with panoramic deck overlooking the city. Close to a nice grocery store. Nice basic kitchen with microwave and coffee maker. Hosts were very helpful and the property is an excellent location. It is a loft so ceiling clearance is limited in places and it is a four story walkup. Enjoyed our stay.

Winter in Venice

It was always so good to get back to the apartment from the cold outside. The apartment was beautifully warm and cosy. We really enjoyed our stay and our hosts made us feel very welcomed. We would have no hesitation returning..a real gem of an apartment in the heart of Venice.

Wonderful apartment for solo researcher

This apartment was a beautiful place to stay in Venice’s Castello district, and it was a great environment to work in while enjoying the views of the Venetian rooftops! The neighborhood is super quiet and the apartment is in convenient proximity to a grocery store. Sergio and Flavia are absolutely wonderful hosts, and I particularly enjoyed the homemade treats they provided. Hope to stay again!

Exceptional welcome !!!

Sergio and Flavia are exceptionally welcoming : they called me before my arrival explaining how I would be welcomed at my arrival, they were joignable whenever I had to contact them and answered very quickly; they offered a great breakfast. And no need to mention the beautiful terrasse with its fantastic view. This was a great stay !!! Thank you to Sergio and Flavia !!!

Amazing View

This attic apartment is absolutely amazing for a couple. Once you get past the 80 steps to enter you are rewarded with this beautiful, quaint apartment that has everything you need. The kitchen was well stocked with bread, jam, coffee, milk and biscuits. This was such a treat compared to other apartments we have rented. Going up to the rooftop is what you have been waiting for. The rooftop views over Venice are better than any other rooftop we were on during our stay. Wonderful apartment with gracious hosts.

Location

Beautiful apartment with great space. The ceilings are low in spots so taller people be aware. My husband is 6'2 and had to duck a lot. The location is great. Just a couple minutes from San Marco and San Zaccariaa but quiet. The views from the incredible. Couldnt have asked for a better place to stay in Venice!

Great location for this cute loft apartment

This cute loft apartment is ideally located, close to attractions, restaurants and shops. This loft apartment is located on the fourth floor. There is not an elevator. There was a noise at night (like a light switch turning on and off. I think it was from the radiator) it was fine with a white noise machine on my phone. We stayed for three days. We enjoyed the roof top area. Breakfast was fruit, toast and yogurt. There was lots of coffee,tea and milk left for us as well. We really enjoyed our stay and found the location perfect for visiting Venice.

Grandma’s attic

I need to begin by saying the husband is very sweet and kind. The wife got upset with us because we had the air conditioning too low. She also was upset when I pointed out that online it had “laundry” advertised as being in the apartment, but what it really was a self service laundry company down the block. The apartment is very tiny. I’m 5’4” and kept hitting my head on the beams in the kitchen. The bed is REALLY hard and when I said we needed the pull out sofa for my daughter, she said no. She said I had to tell them we needed the sofa bed before our stay. My daughter just slept on the couch. The room is clean, but seriously FIVE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! Think about that before you book. It felt like you were living in grandma’s attic. At least four times she would come knocking on the door about different things. In America, bed and breakfast is very different. Here you have yogurt, fruit, toast and coffee/tea. All of it is DIY. I was used to a hot gourmet breakfast from a sweet inn keeper. I appreciated the location away from the crowds, but it’s a trek to bring your luggage in and out.

Awesome terrace! We loved this place! The owners, Sergio and Flavia's apartment is directly below this so their access and response was great. This is their attic, converted into an apartment. It is very nicely done. Since it is an attic the head room is low in some places. The main bedroom is directly off the kitchen, and you must climb into the bed. Also, it has no bedroom door. The living area is great, and it does have a fold out couch. It is a fourth-floor walkup then there are two more flights of stairs to the terrace inside the apartment. The view is amazing! The location is great - it is in a very quiet, local area in the Castello neighborhood, less than 10 min walk to St. Mark's square. Would definitely recommend it.

The two upper floors that we stayed in were very clean and well appointed. Flavia greeted us and showed us everything including the food that was left there for our breakfasts during our stay. She apologized for the low ceilings, unexpected, but manageable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location.

Our hosts went above and beyond to help us get to our aprtment, and made it easy. The location is tremendous. Easy to walk to all the Venice Hotspots but nice and quiet in the evenings. The rooftop patio is the icing on the cake.

Nice location. An easy stroll to key sights. Away from core noise and commotion.We did have to walk up 4 flights of stairs with our luggage, which was not adequately described in detail in the listing. We would not have chosen this apartment if we had known.Generally the space is nice, but the headroom is limited in kitchen, bathroom and very tight in bedroom area. (Cannot walk around bed). The pictures do show that if you understand what they mean by reviewing them carefully, so that was on us.The rooftop patio was a fabulous bonus. We sat for hours in the evening watching over a 360 degree view of the city. We brought some music and wine up top and it was glorious.So, if you are healthy, not overly tall, and willing to trade off a few quirks for a really nice experience, we can recommend!
