About this property

Cozy farm cottage on gorgeous landscape, quiet but close to s. NH/VT attractions

About this space
Bellows Cottage is a 3 BR renovated cottage ideal for families or for a romantic couples getaway. Enjoy a quiet country setting while being in a convenient location to explore all of southern NH and VT.

This cozy cottage is in the heart of a working 100-acre farm. Foodies will delight in the local food scene and great local dining, including our own restaurant 5 miles away, The Hungry Diner, where we serve our own farm fresh offerings and a great selection of local beers.

Endless activities for any season – biking, hiking, water sports, apple picking, wineries & breweries, fly fishing, fall foliage, antiques, sledding, skiing and so much more.
The space
Once a red barn, now a welcoming country cottage - enter through a large mudroom - great for your shoes or cooler.

The inner door opens onto a spacious living room and dining area with large couch and comfy chairs, equipped with TV and games.

The recently renovated kitchen is outfitted with the basics for cooking – pots and pans, dishes, cooking utensils and cooking oil. A deep, antique farmhouse sink adds character to this quaint country kitchen. An apartment-sized fridge, countertop oven & toaster, induction cooktop, coffee maker and microwave round out the appliances.

The ground floor bedroom has a queen-sized fourposter bed and large closet.

The bathroom is on the first floor and has a large shower stall. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided.

Upstairs are two additional bedrooms. The first is a loft-like room with two twin beds. Walking through this bedroom brings you to the third bedroom with an additional queen farmhouse style metal bed.

Outdoors is a private patio, large backyard and lawn with sandbox and swing set. There is a small fire pit for summer campfires and roasting marshmallows. Firewood provided. A shared propane grill and cooking utensils are available under the Inn's breezeway.
Guest access
You have the whole cottage as well as the whole farm to explore. Enjoy the gardens and swing set or explore our nature trail located at the end of the farm’s lower driveway which leads to our pigs and maple tree grove.

We provide regular farm tours during the warmer months, please ask!

Please ask to be escorted into our barns and outbuildings. We are an active working farm with many moving parts. Safety is our top priority during your stay so please close farm gates behind you and be aware of moving farm equipment. We are watching out for you, please do the same for our farm crew and livestock. Guests are not allowed to access animal areas unless escorted by a staff member.
Other things to note
We provide you with locally roasted coffee and a fresh, homemade baked good at check-in. If you so choose, you can join us at our adjacent inn for a farm-fresh homemade breakfast buffet at an additional charge of $20/person. Just let us know upon check-in.
Should you need additional supplies, our farm store is located just down the hill at the end of the farm’s lower driveway and is fully stocked with our farm's meats and other great local products.

Peaceful farm-stay
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property. The surrounding area is green and beautiful. The house is very charming and the linens are incredibly comfortable. We all wholeheartedly recommend this stay.

A delightful place to stay to enjoy New Hampshire idyll
Throughout the whole process, i.e. finding out some particulars, confirming our stay, and our check-out, Tessa was most helpful and quick to reply. My expectations were, I must admit, surpassed when we did arrive, much to my delight. The converted barn cottage is quiet, and yet easily accessible from the road. Tessa had even set the thermostat higher for us before our arrival and left a basked of lovely donuts (baked, not fried, which I really approve of!) baked that day. The kitchen was very useful for us, as we came with some food precooked and needed to minorly augment that for our dinners. I envied the kitchen sink for its size and the excellent water pressure compared to what I live with on a daily basis The bathroom, though smaller, as some of the review note, was absolutely perfectly usable and has good ventilation to keep it humidity free. Having this lovely place to sleep and eat served as a delightful base for our winter hikes and a friendly warm shelter to return to for the evenings. I would and indeed plan to stay again in the future!

Fabulous house for our family that ranged in ages from 18-80! Perfect spot for the 6 of us!
From the booking to the check out everything was amazing! The house is clean, stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and everything in between. Very calm and peaceful, easy to find and property managers were great to work with. We had no issues at all. The smart tv huge bonus to pull up the Celtics game! We will definitely be staying in this home again in the future! Thanks so much Tessa!
