About this property
Renovated spacious Normandy barn
The detached converted barn sits on an acre of land. Its rural location provides plenty of privacy, peace and quiet, perfect for a family, small group or couple wishing to escape to the country. The spacious property can comfortably sleep 8-10 and provides the perfect base for exploring the many tourist sites in Normandy and neighbouring Brittany. This fully renovated property has a fully equipped modern kitchen, underfloor heating throughout and a log burner to ensure a comfortable stay.
Parking is available at the property for 4/5 vehicles. There is a large garden with a morning and evening terrace furnished with patio furniture, sun loungers and BBQ. The evening terrace is the perfect place to enjoy uninterrupted views and sit and watch the beautiful Normandy sunsets. There are a range of English games, books and magazines provided for guest use. A comprehensive house manual is available which provides information on local places to eat, markets and suggestions for day trips from the house e.g. Mont Saint Michel, St Malo, Dinard, Dinan, Cancale, Bayeaux, D Day Beaches. This will be made available on booking, however should you have any further questions which are not answered in the manual please do not hesitate to ask either before or during your stay. It is important to us that your stay at our barn is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Guests will have access to the entire barn and surrounding gardens. There is another house on the property which is very occasionally occupied by the owners or close family and friends. However, this has a separate private garden and would no way impinge on the privacy of the guests which will be respected at all times. However, if the house is occupied and you need assistance please do not hesitate to call in as they may be able to help.
The property does not have access to the internet, however, currently data, calls and texts to the UK and within the Europe zone costs the same as when you are in the UK. Previous guests at the property have used their personal hotspots (where this forms part of their phone contract) where they have needed to work remotely on their laptops/tablets etc. It is also worth noting that many of the bars and restaurants have access to the internet which is complimentary .
To access the property, we would recommend having a car. There is a very limited bus service into some of the main towns. Taxis are available from the larger towns. There are many lovely walks in the close vicinity and some popular cycling routes nearby.
