About this property
TYN TOWYN - TY GWYRDD GOLAU, country holiday cottage in Trearddur Bay
Family friendly holiday cottage in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey. Close to a sandy beach, shops and eateries. Supermarkets 3 miles. WIFI, TV & freeview.
Located on the west coast of Anglesey, just a short stroll from the centre of Trearddur Bay and its long golden sands, is Tyn Towyn, an exclusive development of holiday cottages. What a fantastic location! These fine holiday cottages have been furnished to very high standard and are centred around a peaceful courtyard.
"One of eight fabulous properties set around a courtyard. Each cottage is individual with carefully chosen art, great living spaces, and gleaming bathrooms. A perfect retreat central for Trearddur Bay."
Each house is named in Welsh after the colour of its front door. Ty Gwyrdd Golau (‘Light Green House') is the smallest of the cottages, but don't be deterred, because what this property doesn't have in bed space it more than makes up for in character and finish. It really is a joy to spend time in this wonderfully well equipped and compact holiday cottage.
This is a lovely property for a quiet break. Alternatively, it can be booked in conjunction with one or more of the other holiday cottages if you are holidaying as part of a group, but still want to retain some independence. You will only be a one minute walk from the beach and a ten minute walk from some great pubs and restaurants.

Town: Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
