If you are saavy on the internet you can pre-order all your provisioning online for delivery to the dock. If you are feeling energetic you can hike up the top of the island for spectacular views of the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. Day 2: get wet in crystal clear aqua waters
Rise and shine to a beautiful anchorage, why not start your day with a snorkel and explore 4 reefs on the look out for the giant manta rays. Watch as these graceful creatures glide effortlessly around you and turtles & octopus. Take the stand-up paddle boards and discover deserted beaches. If you are into diving we can organize private dive excursions with excellent local dive companies. You could happily spend several days here, but if you want to keep exploring, less than an hour away you can snorkel on a sunken war plane. Another comfortable (2 hr) sail and you are at Blue Lagoon.

It is a short hop and a skip to Sawa-i-Lau where you can explore the famous caves.

Day 4/5: untouched pure paradise
The lagoon of Sawa-i-Lau is where the adventure starts and the where the the bulk of tourism ends. This is where “Blue Lagoon” was actually filmed. In front of you lies an untouched, remote slice of paradise, alien like lava rocks emerging from stunning turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, amazing reefs with prolific sea life, coupled with warm welcoming bula hospitality. Generally anywhere from here to the top of the Yasawas you will be spoiled with calm anchorages so pretty much you can say “here please for the night”. Guests especially seem to love the remoteness of this part of the Yasawas and usually spend at least two nights here for exploring. (so keep this in mind)

Day 6/7: sandy bliss
After a relaxed tropical island breakfast and an easy sail back to the Mamanuca group, you can discover Navadra a magical set of three islands connected by sand beaches.

Day 6/7: surfs ripping!
From here you can explore Monoriki (where the movie Castaway was filmed) or if the surf is pumping experience the exhilaration of watching world famous “Cloudbreak” go off and then be back in Denarau in two hours.

Day 7: all good things must come to an end now...

Getting to Fiji and other travel tips

In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Fiji may seem far away, but getting here is easy. Fiji Airways, Fiji’s national carrier, has regular flights from many international destinations (Auckland, Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Hong Kong). Jetstar, Air New Zealand, Korean Air, Pacific Blue, V Australia, Air Niugini, Air Vanuatu, Air Caledonie and Our Airlines also fly regularly to Fiji.

Where do we board?
Seven-night charters depart & return at Nadi Port Denarau , a quick 30-minute drive from Nadi airport to the marina.A quick taxi ride (depending on traffic of course!) approx 35 minutes to Port Denarau. La Vie crew will meet you at the given destination for collection via dingy.

How do I get to Nadi?
A popular getaway spot, and it’s easy to get too. There are several flights daily, and the simplest way to check schedules and airfares, and book your flight, is to visit or look up flights on the internet or see your travel agent. Nadi International Airport is the main gateway to the country for most travelers, and there are several domestic airports scattered throughout the islands.

When do we depart?
We tend to operate on a modified version of island-time, so the answer is simple: We don’t leave until everyone is safely aboard, which is usually in the afternoon. The idea is to be flexible, fun and as stress-free as possible, and we encourage guests to arrive any time after 9:00am. The sooner you’re aboard, the sooner you can start enjoying the experience.

When do we disembark?
Checkout time at the end of your charter is typically 8:00am, but we’re flexible. Early flight? We’ll get you out of here ahead of schedule. Time to kill on travel day? Please check with us ahead of time, and we’ll do everything we can to simplify your schedule.

What formalities must be completed?
Each passenger must have a passport valid at least 6 months after the date of return. During your charter, some itineraries require several customs/immigration clearances. These formalities are obligatory and fees may apply. Your charter crew will arrange the Cruising permits that must be purchased to sail in protected marine parks, these fees are not inclusive in your charter price.
For Fiji a 4 month visa is granted automatically on arrival to visitors from most countries.

This all sounds great, but what if I need a bit of help?
Just get in touch! Our goal is for every guest's experience with us to be a seamless, rejuvenating one. We’re happy to help with travel arrangements as much as we can.

Your crew have a very cautious approach to safety for all on board and have a few guidelines that you will be shown to keep you safe and having fun on this wonderous discovery of Fiji.
