Why they chose this property
The recent purchase of this cabin—now named Skykomish River Lodge—was the result of countless day trips through King and Snohomish Counties. Our criteria were clear and unwavering: the cabin had to sit directly on a river with excellent fishing, offer unobstructed views of the mountains and water, be close to Seattle and near a ski resort, and—most importantly—have no neighboring cabins interrupting the views or diminishing the secluded mountain feeling we wanted.
Well… we found it.
This unique Norwegian-cut log home sits on nearly an acre of natural beauty, bordered by thick forest that enhances its sense of privacy. The views of the Cascade peaks and the South Fork of the Skykomish River are simply spectacular. We’re just about 60 minutes from Seattle and a little under that from Leavenworth—perfectly positioned yet blissfully removed from the rush of daily life.
What more could we ask for? 🙂

What makes this property unique
We had a long and very specific checklist when searching for a Washington cabin, and Skykomish River Lodge exceeded every expectation. Situated on the South Fork of the Skykomish River, it offers rare, prime river frontage with excellent fishing right from the backyard. This is no ordinary cabin—it’s a custom, handcrafted luxury log home, built using cedar logs harvested from the property itself.
Inside, a stunning two-story river-rock fireplace sets the tone, but even it competes with the panoramic views of the river and towering Cascade peaks visible from almost every window.
The cabin is tucked far off the private road, down a long, beautifully wooded driveway that creates instant serenity the moment you arrive. No neighboring cabins interrupt the sweeping views or the secluded mountain atmosphere we wanted—and found at last.
Finding a place this unique—a true luxury log home on prime river frontage with uninterrupted mountain views—felt like discovering a hidden gem, and we are thrilled to share it with others who appreciate the magic of this setting.
