About this property

Come and stay in our fantastic newly refurbished apartment on the clifftop in beautiful Barton-on-Sea. We've named our apartment 'Stones Throw' as it is just a stones' throw from stunning Barton Beach which overlooks the Isle of Wight to the east and Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Bay to the west.

What's more it's on the doorstep of the New Forest National Park so you can enjoy both coast and countryside during your stay without having to travel very far at all. Within a half hour drive you can visit picturesque Lymington with its maritime history, Hurst Spit and Castle, historic Christchurch and numerous beautiful destinations in the Forest with its freely roaming ponies and abundant wildlife and well as a great selection of stunning beaches. You could even venture across the Solent on a day trip to the Isle of Wight from nearby Lymington. If you want to stay put you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the Beachcomber Cafe just over the road or spend your time swimming or just relaxing on Barton Beach.

Our apartment is ground floor and has double doors leading onto a patio and guests have use of the communal garden which looks out to sea. The main living area has a modern open plan kitchen, a dining table with four chairs, sofa bed and arm chair, plus TV. You can see the famous Needles off the Isle of Wight from the lounge window. The bedroom is a good size with a double bed and wardrobe and there's a bright and fresh modern bathroom with a double sized shower.

We do accept well behaved pets so if you want to bring them there is a £22 per pet fee (max of 2).

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit Meerblick

Der Kontakt zu den freundlichen Vermietern war sehr angenehm und problemlos. Der Schlüssel war in einer Box hinterlegt. Wir wohnten in einer sehr schönen, sauberen Ferienwohnung. Mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wir nutzten den Gemeinschaftsgarten mit Blick aufs Meer täglich. Das Haus befindet sich an einer Hauptstraße, aber es herrscht kein hohes Verkehrsaufkommen. Ein paar Schritte über diese Straße und man ist auf der Steilklippe am Meer. Ein traumhafter Blick. Ideal um mit unserem Hund spazieren zu gehen. Direkt am Meer ist es steinig, was für unseren Hund unangenehm war, aber ansonsten auch eindrucksvoll zu Spaziergängen einlädt. Gegenüber des Hauses sind 4 Restaurants/Cafes/Eisdiele und ein kleines Geschäft. Barton on Sea ist ein ruhiger, sehr gepflegter Ort in perfekter Lage am Meer und für viele, sehenswerte Ausflüge in die Umgebung. The New Forest beginnt in der Nähe. Die Vermitter haben eine informative Mappe und Flyer zusammengestellt ! Vielen Dank ! Eine Spülmaschine wäre das Einzige, was uns gefehlt hat. Aber das ist eine Kleinigkeit und wir würden wiederkommen.

Late winter retreat

Nice well equipped apartment. Warm, easily adjustable thermostat. Good size shower. WiFi patchy, though owner was looking into this, really good prompt communication with them.

Good base with sea views

We stayed a week. It is true that you can see The Needles from the living room. The apartment is clean and well maintained. It is less than 100 yards to cliff top seats with panoramic views out to the Isle of Wight with the Beachcomber restaurant right by. A great base for a New Forest Holiday. We visited Bucklers Hard and also had an exhilirating time when we rented e-bikes for a day to explore the coastal path from Keyhaven to Lymington, from a nearby company called Jaunt-ebikes

Excellent location

Really impressed with the property. Owners answered question on parking promptly and we had no issues. More spacious than I had anticipated, really clean and had everything needed for a short stay. Great for a stay with our 2 dogs as the communal garden was right outside our door and beach as in the details was 5 min from the door. Barton-on-Sea is a little gem which we had never been to but would go again. Weather was also kind to us which helps.
