About this property
Cottage with Covered Hot Tub, sleeps 6 Godshill New Forest National Park
Recently finished 2 year renovation to high standard as it is our home.
Please check out my mothers property with swim spa called 'Crossroads Cottage' located in Frogham - less than 10 minutes away. You can check reviews and service you will receive.
Lane End is a spacious homely cottage situated in the village of Godshill within the New Forest National Park. The cottage is great for couples, families or friends to enjoy with unbroken tree-top views of the countryside, perfect for a short break or a holiday.
Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and catch up tv.
Endless walks in the New Forest are on the doorstep with miles of heath land to explore by foot or bike.
Round off the day with a glass of champagne watching the sunset or a stroll up to the local pub 3 minutes away. There is a cedar hot tub - checkout urban cedar hot tubs, it is positioned to take in the setting sun and has a bespoke 'Gazebo' which ensures rain does not stop play and stops the oak leaves falling in!
We have converted the cob house to a games room with a pool table and darts board and also now have an outdoor table tennis table for family or group 'competitions'.
Important Suggestion: A Monday or Friday change over may help with the heavy holiday traffic problems over the weekend, during the peak summer months Contact us with your personal requirements any day is possible, or any other day at certain times.
For the last two years, with my brother and parents we have transformed Lane End into a beautiful home. Unlike other rental properties, this is my home and is furnished as such. The cottage is only available for limited periods in the year.

Thank you, I am pleased you enjoyed your stay, that is what we hope for as expectations from guests can differ , reflecting in their feedback. We provide exactly what we say.
Pleased you enjoyed your stay, we are going to look at the plancha and see what the problem was, so annoying. We have another one in Frogham and that worked perfectly, I am surprised you were even considering a 'BBQ' as in Surrey it was really windy and raining. kind regards Angela
We wanted somewhere that we cooked and sat together, to celebrate Easter and my birthday on Monday. We went back home on Monday saying what a fantastic stay, as we loved the walks nearby and the amenities were brilliant and useful.
Wonderful stay. House and facilities were amazing. Donkey's and horses right outside out gate. The games room kept the teenagers (and us) super entertained. Felt so relaxed here. Would definitely return!

Thank you for your lovely review, as you have already booked for next New Year, I think you clearly had a great time!
We stayed for a relaxing weekend break as friends. This was ideal for walking and the well equipped kitchen meant we could prepare anything we needed. Spent some time in the hot tub and as well as the wildlife on walks, we were able to watch a deer in the garden.
Beautiful house with everything you needed. A welcome break with friends. Loved the hot tub, gardens, patio areas, sunbeds, the views. Perfect. Will be returning next year

Excellent, pleased it met your expectations, we are in the New Forest , ie we have animals outside the gate.
Lane End is an extremely well appointed property in beautifully maintained grounds.
Very well furnished and presented to us with excellent levels of cleanliness. A delightful stay and we would certainly short list for the future.
We stayed for 3 nights in February and apart from struggling to get the heating to come on when we first arrived, it was a very lovely and comfy (and later very warm and cosy!) house. Hot tub was great!

The heating is easily adjusted - room thermostat, trvs and can be put on boost. There is also a woodburner which also heats the radiators. It is programmed to come on 3 times/day
We had a wonderful three-night stay at Lane End. The cottage feels instantly welcoming and homely, with lovely views over the fields - we enjoyed watching the cows wander by in the mornings. It’s peaceful, private, and a great place to unwind. The house has loads of space, and the bedrooms were even bigger and more comfortable than we expected. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the welcome basket was a thoughtful touch. We loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings, and the games room was a nice bonus - ended up teaching the kids how to play pool, which was great fun.You can really tell how much care has gone into making this a special place. It’s beautifully done, full of character, and we’d happily return.

Pleased you enjoyed your stay. The pub is up the road from us on the T junction, about350m, so not too far.
Loved relaxing out in the hot tub, playing pool and darts in the cob house, and enjoying the stunning New Forest scenery. Brilliant pub and walks just around the corner - donkeys, ponies and horses galore. Great location for visiting all the sites. House had everything we needed for our family of four, including games and books. Highly recommend

Renovation is in our blood our parents have renovated many properties, from our family home in Frogham to student properties and holiday homes abroad. We have helped since we could hold a tool in our hands! We follow the family ethos that a property can be shared at certain times as it can provide a home for a holiday, whilst keeping the property occupied and cared for when other commitments take you elsewhere.
Why they chose this property
Beautiful elevated position on the top of a slope, with views across the trees and countryside. The garden has sun all day long in various seating areas. It is a quiet area where busy lives can be left at the gatepost.
What makes this property unique
Views, sun, tranquility. Unspoilt walks in forests and open 'forest'/commons.
Beautiful garden and home.
Several seating areas for meals and a cedar hot tub to really relax in.
