About this property
A beautiful Spanish family home located in a beautiful peaceful setting.
At the end of a paved road you will find Cortijo “La Cubertilla” in the middle of the olive groves. The road continues as a gravel path to the river. The white walled building of Cortijo "La Cubertilla" stands out in the green mountain setting. Walking through the gate you see a beautiful courtyard and a swimming pool with a beautiful view of the mountains behind it. We the owners and hosts Ron and William welcome you with open arms and are ready for you if necessary.
After a long search, he led us to this perfect place in Andalusia. We Ron and William had been dreaming for years about a place where people could relax, feel at home, enjoy the scenery and charge the battery. Somewhere where you can completely close yourself, but are close to other interesting places. And certainly not unimportant, it had to be warm, characteristic and atmospheric. That long wait was rewarded, because after years of searching we found an old cortijo with a large courtyard, whitewashed walls, beautiful authentic elements and that in a very quiet, rural environment.
Inside the Cortijo you can taste the typical Spanish atmosphere everywhere. The cortijo consists of 2x a 2 person apartments and a house for up to 8 people. Of course there is also our own house. The Spanish atmosphere that you taste outside is extended on the inside. Beautiful antique furniture and Spanish tiles.
Casa de Familia: Is a house suitable for 8 people. Spacious living / dining room with fully equipped kitchen, for cooking and dining on the ground floor. Everything in a characteristic, atmospheric Spanish style. On the first floor are four bedrooms and 2 spacious bathrooms. The bathrooms both have a nice shower, a sink and a toilet. The master bedroom has its own patio .. The house is equipped with all necessary facilities such as a. A. T.V., air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The thick walls provide good insulation for a cool night's sleep. A baby cot can be added in this room type. There is also the possibility to use a washing machine and dryer if required.
Facilities:
There is also a swimming pool of 8 x 4 meters with sun beds and seats.
Ample parking
Barbecue available
Cot and chair free on request
Towel / bath towel and pool towel available
This house is not suitable for the disabled and not suitable for wheelchair users due to stairs.
Fuente Tójar, Spain - Andalusia, home of La Cubertilla
Fuente Tójar may not be the place you first think of when you go on holiday in Andalusia, but because of its convenient location, close to nature and between the most important cities, it is certainly a place from which you can go in all directions. It offers few amenities but there are three small supermarkets, three bars where they serve tapas and an ATM machine. In the summer months there is a bar / restaurant, part of the municipal swimming pool center, which also serves various tapas. Fuente Tójar is the closest to the city, the baroque gem Priego de Córdoba, the city with the most amenities in the region. Priego de Córdoba can be reached in less than 15 minutes from Fuente Tójar.
Priego de Córdoba
The capital of the Subbética region, offers a fantastic location on a plateau overlooking the Subbética mountain range. Although the history of Priego is more than 8,000 years old, the city came to the fore in the eighteenth century, when the richness of the silk and textile industry financed the construction or renovation of the Baroque churches and buildings for which it is famous . Most of Priego's monuments are within walking distance of the old center, built on the edge of the plateau around the thirteenth-century Moorish castle.
In Priego de Córdoba you have a beautiful historic neighborhood, Barrio de la Villa, and a baroque fountain Fuente del Rey.
The Barrio de la Villa district dates from the time the Moors lived here. It is the old center of Priego de Córdoba. Barrio de la Villa is partly walled and mainly consists of winding streets with whitewashed houses. This place is romance at its best! As a visitor, a walk through this originally Arabian neighborhood is a journey of discovery of beautiful places. As far as we are concerned, the highlight is Balcón del Adarve. This arc-shaped street is on the northeastern side of the village. The height of 55 meters gives an unobstructed panoramic view of the surroundings of Priego de Córdoba.
You can walk to Fuente de la Salud and Fuente del Rey via the beautiful Calle del Rio street. Along the way you see a number of beautiful and sometimes stately Andalusian buildings. The two fountains date from the sixteenth and early twentieth centuries. The place where they lie is mainly seen by the impressive Fuente del Rey as one of the most beautiful places in Priego de Córdoba. Some tourists even drive to Priego because of the fountains.

Jaén is the capital of the province of the same name, in the Andalusia region, at an altitude of 573 m south of the Guadalquivir. The city is located in the most important olive producing area in Spain. There is large-scale trade in and processing of olives. The city has declared itself the World Capital of Olive Oil, thanks to the large number of olive groves in the province. The Provincial Museum is known for its archaeological finds and the visual arts. There is also an ethnological museum. Numerous remains from the Moorish occupation period can still be seen in the city. There are parts of the old Moorish fortifications, a water basin and an old minaret at the Santa Magdalena church (15th century), in mudéjar style, and baths from the 10th-11th centuries.
Jaen has spectacular nature parks and impressive cultural routes. It is also known for the famous olives that are grown here, from which also an exceptionally tasty olive oil is made.
