Bedroom 4: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for open fire included.. Small enclosed courtyard with patio and garden furniture. 2 small dogs welcome. On road parking; unloading at the door. No smoking. Please note: There are 2 steps in the courtyard.. Lovingly furnished by the owners to reflect their two homes - the windy city of Chicago and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, hence the choice of name. The Chicago team spirit is on display in the quirky basement games room while the four bedrooms represent the Yorkshire Dales with unique themes, including Black Sheep, Stone, Tea and Starling.
The property has been furnished with comfort in mind with lots of thoughtful extras. It is spacious and perfectly accommodates a family get together or a friend’s reunion, and will suit a mixture of age groups with space to spread out and entertain. Conveniently positioned within minutes of the main street and the moors, you can simply park up, unpack and start to enjoy your holiday.
A bright and spacious living room with original wooden floor and an open fire makes for a great space to chill out and catch up. A smart open plan kitchen/dining room makes for a sociable gathering space, with a bench style table to accommodate up to 6 guests. A large map of Yorkshire adorns the wall and is a great way for you to plan your walks and activities.
On the lower ground floor is a quirky games den with Smart TV and decorated with nods to their hometown of Chicago. With a comfortable double sofa bed offering an alternative sleeping arrangement.
On the first floor are three spacious bedrooms each with a Yorkshire theme. There is a spacious double bedroom and two bedrooms with single beds. On the top floor is the master bedroom with double bed and en-suite.
Skipton is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and people travel the length and breadth of the country to visit this charming market town. With its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street. Whether you are looking to catch up on some serious walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales or taking time for relaxing strolls, this fascinating area has it all.
Skipton is a small town with a big heart. Within a short stroll of Windy Dales Cottage you will arrive at the heart of the town with its wonderful canal path and pretty long boats, the market square and an eclectic range of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Shop 10 yards, pub and restaurant 110 yards.
