About this property

Cabin & Spa - Luxurious & Private 2 blocks from the lake and conservancy

We hope we have the opportunity to host you at our awesome Tahoe Bear Cabin. It's located in a truly private spectacular setting with our backyard bordering The Tahoe National Forest. Our pictures of the cabin and surrounding property and forest acreage don't do it justice.

The 'Tahoe Bear Cabin' offers tumbled marble in the bathrooms, slab granite, and maple cabinets throughout, state-of-the-art stainless appliances, four televisions, four of which are high definition (60-inch and 42-inch), satellite TV, home theater surround-sound, a grand copper wood burning fireplace, beautiful gas fireplaces in upper and lower bedrooms, central heat, and hardwood floors. Several decks make for wonderful outside entertaining, as does the Jacuzzi hot tub, which offers total privacy. Bose speakers complement the Jacuzzi and decks.

Approximately 2600 square feet, this unique and elegant three-bedroom, three-bath, incredible Tri Level Cabin promises to make your stay in Tahoe unforgettable. Come for the Weekend and make memories that will last a Lifetime. Make no mistake, this cabin will truly bring the Lake Tahoe experience to life.

Surrounded by acres of conservancy land with The Tahoe National Forest and only two long blocks from the lake lies our Tahoe Bear Cabin, offering both privacy and convenience. For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, there are external security cameras located on our deck, the exterior doors into the house, and the parking lot area. One of the greatest features is the opportunity to watch neighborhood bears, but they can be little rascals if there are no guests at the property. We monitor the outside to ensure everything is safe for our authorized guests. There are no surveillance cameras inside the house.

Located just minutes from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts, and only 10 minutes from the Coast Guard boat launch at Lake Forest Road, our Tahoe Bear Cabin will allow you to experience Tahoe to its fullest - access to the Tahoe Rim trail, snowmobiling, cross country skiing at Paige Meadow, sledding on our private road or at Granlibakken Resort, quad & ATV, and hiking are conveniently located right out our back door.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the location. This cabin has watched my 3 children grow up and now it has become a favorite destination for my grandchildren. My late husband and I shared many weekends at the cabin, creating many wonderful memories. My hope is that others will walk away, after a stay at this cabin, with memories that will last a lifetime.

What makes this property unique

There is something about looking out a window and seeing a mother bear and her cubs, that makes your heart skip a beat with wonder and excitement. Sitting quietly in the hot tub, catching snowflakes on your tongue as the steam surrounds you. Hiking through the empty woods for hours and then relaxing in front of a warm fire with a good book. Walking or taking a snow mobile into town, just to reassure myself that I am not the only human being left on earth.
